There are other ways to kill people than with just weapons alone. One mostly have to be smart enough to find and exploit those ways accordingly.

The problem is....if Harry just says "Accio sword" is there any garuntee Sting would be the sword summoned. Weren't there other swords laying around Amon Hen? I don't remember too well?

Sting is a named blade, as it's magical and Elven. I think it would have to be summoned by name for it to work.

Yea, but then you are left going, "oh, well he could set a swing trap, or sharpen as stick or this or that.....Its much simpler when you are working with established facts and a given weapon set. As for this situation, should Stig be removed, he could always fall back on his Barrow-blade (hobbit short sword) that he keeps tucked out of sight as a back up weapon. Potter wouldn't know about that one.

Well there's the name thing too but like I said is it even the only sword there. it depends, if they are in the place "Before" the ambush from the movie then the only swords would be the two that Frodo has. If they are their "After" the ambush from the movie, then there should be several swords and other weapons dropped by the fallen.

I don't like admitting I told you so, but I told you so. ;P Well that, and later today I'm going to be watching 'The Desolation of Smaug', if one of the Antagonists from 'An Unexpected Journey,'(Smaug notwithstanding) doesn't get killed in TDoS, he'll probably get killed in what arrives after TDoS.

Ok, so has the question of whether this is Pre or post ambush battle site been answered yet? (pre means clear/Post means fallen weapons laying about)

Pre battle.
But I'm not convinced he can accio a named weapon. In LotRs named weapons are a big thing, plus Elvish enchantments.
