I for one do not believe Assad used chemical weapons. It is my belief that either the rebels used them, or the US used them.
It makes no sense for Assad to use WMD now when he is on the verge of victory. Why now? Why use a weapon that just the very rumor of having gave the US our justification for going to war? Why now when they've walked a very tight rope in order to keep the international community out? Why throw it all away when you have your enemy on the run and weeks away from breaking?
No, I believe Syria's fall is necessary to global agendas that have been in the works for a long time now. Lets just look at the nations that have fallen through either war or internal conflicts: Afghanistan, Iraq, Egypt, Libya, Tunasia, Bahrain, Syria(In the works) and we also have Iran who's being roasted over the coals by sanctions with an ever increasing internal opposition gaining strength. Then there's Yemen who is looking to be set up for the next power change. Venezuela will also be on this list as soon as we deal with those meddling Muslims and fabricate some panic.
What justification does the US have to set these nations up for US/world intervention? It's my theory that the Petrodollar is responsible.
In 2000, Saddam Hussein allegedly “emerged from a meeting of his government and proclaimed that Iraq would soon transition its oil export transactions to the euro currency. There was a short story of this on CNN the following day and then a media blackout.
April 2000, the US starts construction of a 15,000 foot runway in Qatar. One of the largest US military bases abroad will soon exist here.
March 2001, The Pentagon releases this document:
Iraq Oil It details how Iraq’s oil fields would be carved up and outsourced to Western oil companies two years after the war.
Five hours after the 9/11 attacks, Rumsfeld had his staff start to work on plans for strikes against Iraq.
By 2002, Saddam had fully converted to a petroeuro – in essence, dumping the dollar.
On March 19, 2003, George W. Bush announced the commencement of a full scale invasion of Iraq.
In 2005, when Iran announced it would form its own International Oil Bourse (IOB), the first phase of which opened in 2008. The IOB is an international exchange that allows international oil, gas, and petroleum products to be traded using a basket of currencies other than the U.S. dollar.
2006, Syria switches from the petrodollar to the petroeuro.
September 2010, harsh new restrictions/sanctions are imposed on Iran while a surge in internal opposition begins.
January 2011, the Syrian Civil War begins.
May 6 2011, Muammar Gaddafi announces that Libya will no longer use the petrodollar. In October of that year, he will be dead.
August 2013, rumors circulate that Assad used chemical weapons on his own people, an immediate justification for the international community to topple Assad.
I'm seeing this as a plan set in motion over a decade ago. I believe it's possible that Bush and Obama may not have even been aware of this plan but rather they were pulled along by key people placed in their administrations. It's also possible they know full well what they are doing. Either way, the US backed petrodollar began to lose favor around the same time the US was attacked by middle eastern terrorist which led to the fall or is leading to the fall of all major oil production nations that decided to leave the petrodollar standard.
