Pretty sure anyting remotely close to cqc is going to Fal. However outside of Shepard bring him straight into gunfight, solo Garrus seems to favor long distance methods. Even the one he did get up close to he took out the guys arms, leg, and organs first.

-Optional kill-timer can track number of enemies taken down by self or suit-synced team members in given time period

Setting a trap or coming up with a plan which puts distance between them and using explosive, smoke, and/or sniping him seems like plausible MO for Garrus. I mean, one of his top five music choices is called Bang Bang Boom after all.
