KnukailsI don't think dark red light works that way...the Aether was all nebulous cloudy almost black it was so dark red, the gem light was such a light/bright shade it made Thors cape look deep red. You do know we're discussing a metaphysical source of power? The aether was brighter when it was attached to thors girl, it turned darker when Maleketh had it.

it's container was also the size of a Parthenon column and the contianer the Collector had was the size of a thermos..unless a large chunk of the Aether was destroyed.

plus here was the Infinity Gauntlet when Thor and Loki were 5.. - here's Loki's staff, notice anything familiar between the two? - the big blue gem and Loki's staff gem look almost identical. The gems were seperated sometimes after that likely among Odin and some friends around whenever the Tesseract was hidden on Earth perhaps. To keep them from Thanos, so Odin kept the power gem, the red one, and someone who the Chitauri got it from had the big blue one which they took and then got in Loki's staff

That Parthenon column was far larger than a human as well. Was talking height mainly, and that's still my point, the thing that held the Aether was at least ten times the size of the container given to the Collector. Not to mention Malekith created the Aether if I understood the way Odin said it. But how could he have created one of the infinity gems is the problem.

I hadn't noticed the glove. Though it has been a long time since I saw Thor.
The gem in the staff looks like the centre gem though. But that glove has all the gems, when we now know they don't have them. Replicas maybe?

Keep in mind Bor looked young when he fought Malekith, Odin may not have even been alive then. The story he tells thor has some truths but he could have learned the story from the book as well. The only one that would know exactly what the aether is was Bor.

Most likely. When Thor was written they may not have fleshed out the full story.

Lady Ruliyathey showed the glove when they showed kid Loki and Thor who knows how many years past between then and the actual time of the first movie. 30 years, 100 years, 1000 years....like I said Odin could have handed them out to people as part of a deal to help keep them away from Thanos or something, maybe something happened someone snagged it for a bit he realized bad idea to keep omnipotence sitting on a self and split them across the nine realms. or across midgards universe at least. He kept the red one for in case he needed a little pick me up power boost ever, then Thor comes back after Avengers dragging Loki and the staff with what else but an infinity gem in it. So Odin flipped a coin and said yeah...lets get rid of one of these bitches, the Raven(Huginn or Muginn) that came back had set up the appointment, and at the end Sif and Volstagg took the package to the rendevous for LokiOdin who probably had no clue what the hel they were talking about.

Knukailsor Odin decided having the glove and all the gems in the vault that he just showed two five year olds especially one with a bit of a "hey dad look what I can do with this power" complex was the dumbest idea since water soluble house paint.

I doubt he went "okay boys, with this you can remake the universe!"
As Loki no doubt woulda been all over it.
He probably said "look, it's a shiny old glove. Moving on."

Well he did kind of set himself up for one spiteful son, he told them only one could be king the other would just sorta be there their whole lives...Frigga clearly gave Loki more love than Odin did..and Odin favored Thor..so he really brought it on himself.
