Yea, in the snippet volstag says two infinity gems should not be kept so close together. And that the tesseract was one. The Aether the obvious other, which was given to the Collector as you say.
It's going to be interesting watching it all unravel.
Thor was amazing in that it showed us the wider universe. Coz the other movies will no doubt be centered wholly on Earth.
Did he hear it? I don't remember those few seconds that well, only him running up the bridge and kicking its ass xD

I don't see how they would be the gems. The Tesseract would be the mind gem if that's the case and if so then what was the blue mind rape gem in Loki's scepter? And The Aether...was created by Malekith so how could it be the gem?

I think that like Guardian said, he had a "hunch" or some other kind of feeling that something was there, even though he couldn't particularly see it.
I didn't see the after credits scene. Did the Asgardians know that those were Infinity gems? And the Tesseract honestly seemed more like a Cosmic Cube expy than a Gem. The Aether makes no sense either.

@cosmic the "gem" was in a small metal lantern thing that gave off red light, we didn't see it and it was a much brighter red than anything the Aether gave off.

I remember odin saying something about ancient artifact they called stones. He seemed to include the aether. I was under the impression that the aether was power, the tesseract was mind. the stone in loki's staff was a piece of the tesseract wasn't it?

It's what Volstagg said. I don't know much else, other than, by accepting the Aether... Stone, he seemed to think he had one of the 5.

Ah. Well we know that Thanos is here, and saw the Gauntlet itself. So we know it's only a matter of time

So either way, MCU!-Bor was a moot point by the time MCU!-Odin stepped into the Throne, right?
Heimdall is the Gatekeeper, nothing goes by him un-noticed the last I checked.
What can you tell me on Adam Warlock in the 616 Comics as far as you may recall? Did 616 Strange had to fight 616 Adam?

KnukailsI don't think so. As far as I know there was no connection, - Also wasn't the Aether kinda still in the now dead Malekith?

Well you saw the scene with the collector didn't you GA?
It looked like a smaller version of the stone.

In the Avengers, based on Selvig's words, it seems that Loki's gem was somehow charged up, or otherwise a conduit for the Tesseract's energy, hence it being able to bypass the otherwise impregnable field around the portal generator.
If Bor couldn't find a way to destroy it, then I doubt Malekeith's death did. So if it were part of the gems, it is still definitely accessible.

Lady Ruliyayeah I saw the little stone lantern thing but the light was a way brighter red than what the Aethir gave off.

Lady Ruliyayeah I saw the little stone lantern thing but the light was a way brighter red than what the Aethir gave off. Given that the lateen had a tiny window the light could have been more focused.

KnukailsI don't think dark red light works that way...the Aether was all nebulous cloudy almost black it was so dark red, the gem light was such a light/bright shade it made Thors cape look deep red.
