Sir. Galen Farrel:
"Belay the scout parties" Galen said to Captain Elrog, catching him as he passed, "What? How will we know when the en--," Galen cut him off, "That ally I mentioned, the one from the catacombs claims to have a much more effective method." "Do you trust him?" Galen thought for a moment,'No' that is what he wanted to say; however, that would cause another problem, instead Galen simply said, "We have no choice." As Captain Elrog left to update his orders, Galen turned to Vokun, seeing that the cloaked man was fading into another darkness portal. " What is this you speak of, about rallying the king? How will you manage this when even his most loyal servants are rarely allowed to see him." Galen waited for a response, but, before Vokun could speak, Galen changed his mind."Forget it, I do not wish to know. I have enough on my hands organizing the guard, I trust you when you say you will have him on the field. So I will leave you to it." Galen turned to walk away, then added. "Good luck."

As I dipped back into the portal of darkness. I could feel minor vestiges of my crows as they flew over the countryside. 'So far as of yet nothing. That's good plenty of more time for the mongrels to prepare themselves.' I nodded to myself. 'Hmm I'm bored..' I truly have done nothing worthy of my time gaining power.' I scowled 'Curses I must find more power...but for now I do believe I shall rest and process information as it comes in.' 'Oh wait a moment I do believe I've found the shadow mongrels' pleased with his own discovery. His eyes widened mildly. 'Oh my.' He's seeing more and more. 'This isn't good. Not good at all...for the mongrels.' I grinned 'Perfect now's my chance to gain real combat experience.' 'Oh well now lets see hmm....as far as the birds to see I can count around maybe...250,000 soldiers and is that siege equipment?' He orders the crow to fly lower to get confirmation. 'Yes that does seem like siege equipment.' I frowned 'The mongrels will not live through this fight without intervention.' I groan to myself hard. 'Why must I always have such useless servants.' I shake my head 'It matters not If I truly must I shall show a little of my power.' 'But for now time to rest' I shut my eyes and let the rest of the information flow in as I rest. 'I shall hope your strategy works knight for your sake.' Unintentionally I let my power spike do to my annoyance. 'For if not you shall have to deal with me for your failure.' And now I rest.

Vokun:
Galen turned to walk away, then added. "Good luck." Once Galen was gone, Vokun made his way to the castle. Apon reaching the very edge of the castle, Vokun eyed the building. 'hmmmm. Vokun contemplated. 'High walls, lot's of guards...easy'. He encompassed himself with darkness. .'Time to meet a king'. Vokun made his way through the castle until he reached the kings chambers. He listened for heartbeats. 'He's alone...good'. The king was reading a book next to the fireplace when he saw a shadow in the corner. When he strained his eyes to see what it is he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Not a word Your majesty" Vokun whispered. "Who...wh-..who are you"? Vokun materialized next to the fireplace. "Im not here to harm you". He said. "I don't believe you". The king whispered back. Vokun sighed. He pulled a chair up to the king then sat down. "Who are you". The king asked, the panic rising in his voice. "My name is Vokun". He said. Vokun in a rare act, removed his masked and looked the king in his eye's. Your majesty, I was once a citizen of Firestead, do you remember that kingdom? The king nodded. "I do". He said. "I was great friends with King Yssmir". He pauses for several seconds. "When his kingdom fell...I...feared for my own. He said, hanging his head in shame. "So i hid in this blasted place, drowning in my despair". The king looked defeated. "The shadow warriors are here". Vokun said. The King's eyes widened. "Your people are getting ready to fight but they have no will". "They need the highest authority they know to tell them they have chance". "To tell them they could win". "What if i don't think we can?" The king asked. "Then lie". Vokun said. The men sat in silence for awhile. As Vokun went to put his mask back on he king grabbed his arm. "Your eyes". He said. "You are of dragons blood." Vokun just looked at him. A..a..Dovahkiin!! He shouted, wide-eyed. "I am but a fly compared to the dovahkiin of legend". Vokun replied. "Im not him". "That doesn't matter"! the king said pridefully. Suddenly the despair ridden king was gone, replaced by a man with a purpose. Yssmir spent his life wanting to find or meet a dovahkiin". "Now you're here....I'll give the men one final speech". "Throw some oil into their furnaces". Vokun nodded adorned his mask and began to cloak himself. As he faded the king made one more proclamation. For Firestead! He yelled. For Yssmir!

Sir. Galen Farrel:
The sun rested high in a cloud less sky; however, the good weather gave Galen no comfort. 'two hundred and fifty thousand' Galen thought , 'Siege weapons to, a fool I was to think this an easy battle.' Galen and his companions stood side by side on the wind swept plains out side of Lebrith. The army of Lebrith, a mere six thousand strong, stood at their back, tough some were set farther out awaiting the signal to spring the ambush. Galen thought back, half an hour had passed since the King of Lebrith gave his speech. It was burned into Galen's mind. 'MEN!!!' the King began, 'Today is a dark day, an army of vermin have swept across this land. The armies of the Shadow King have marched, un-apposed, wiping out many a kingdom and its people!' the king faced the army,'TODAY THEIR MARCH STOPS HERE!!!! FOR TO LONG I HAVE HID BEHIND MY CASTLE WALLS, BLINDED BY FEAR, WELL NO MORE!! WHAT WE DO HERE TO DAY WE DO NOT JUST FOR LEBRITH, BUT FOR WHATS LEFT OF THE ONCE GREAT EMPIRE!!! FOR YEARS THE EMPIRE SHIELDED US FROM HARM, NOW IT IS TIME WE RETURNED THE FAVOR!!!! DEATH APPROACHES ON THE BACK OF THE SHADOW ARMY, BUT FEAR IT NOT. INSTEAD , EMBRACE IT , CURSE IT, SPIT ON IT, FIGHT DEATH WITH EVERY FIBER OF YOUR BEING. BECAUSE IF WE FALL HERE TODAY, THEN ALL OF ARTANIA FALLS WITH US!!! A THOUSAND EYES OF GENERATIONS YET BORN LOOK UPON THE UPCOMING BATTLE WITH A MEASURE OF PRIDE AND WONDER, FOR YOU ARE THEIR HEROES, THEIR SAVORS, THEIR FATHERS!!!! I LOOK YOU IN THE EYE NOW, NOT AS A KING, BUT AS A MAN. A MAN WILLING TO GIVE HIS LAST RAGGED BREATH DEFENDING HIS HOME!!!!! AND I'LL BE DAMNED IF I ALLOW ONE OF THE APPROACHING ABOMINATIONS SET ONE FOOT IN MY HOME!!!!' {the king, clad in gold and silver trimmed armor that had not seen the battle field in many years, drew a silver blade, catching the sun light as he held it high above his head} 'I WILL GLADLY FIGHT AND DIE ALONG SIDE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU, NOW WHO IS WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!' {a roar of pride and furry erupted from the army, they were ready for blood} even Galen began to feel invincible as he took every word to heart. Half an hour later here they were, silent and un-moving, the blood lust building. The wind picked up, the sky was now a blanket of dark gray, rain began to fall in single droplets. 'Movement in the distance' Galen spotted them, the ground shook with thousands of foot falls. Galen brandished 'Ravager' the claymore of his old mentor,' Well, Sir. Raven-More. Will you do me the honer of fighting by my side' Galen mused to himself, as if in response, Ravagers became near weightless in his hands, as if another was sharing its burden. Galen smiled to himself, the shadow army had taken the bait and now charged them "THIS IS IT MEN!!!!!!," the king cried, standing in front of Galen and his companions,"FOR LEBRITH!!!!!! FOR THE EMPIRE!!!!!! FOR....ARTANIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

As I listened to the mongrels excuse of a king began his tirade whilst standing unseen right beside this king more specifically in his shadow..I thought to myself 'If your presence alone is not enough to inspire your troops then your not doing a very good job.' But as I listened on this mongrel had quite the motivational speech. For a mongrel who believed himself to be a king this speech was...Impressive. But that matters not 'The fighting will start soon.' My grin going so far as to make the Cheshire Cat proud. 'Time to bring down judgement upon the mongrels who dare defy their master.' I slowly began to concentrate. 'Alas a mere force of this size will most definitely not take on that overwhelming force.' I sigh to myself in aggravation. 'It seems I must be the one to finish it all.' Then I felt it. An unknown energy. 'Its faint but whatever it is...It's very powerful.' I sneered 'But what is it not knowing this energy is killing me' But then one of my crows that I had continue to monitor the Shadow Army was shot down. My eyes widen greatly 'What!' I then begin to review the last few seconds of the crows 'life' when I notice that it was no arrow that shot it down. but what appeared to be....A sword? 'I know not of any blade that can do anything like that.' I sneered again 'These fools are digging there graces even deeper.' My lips return to a thin line of neutral. 'This may be more annoying then I thought.'

Vokun:
Vokun was only half-listening when the king made his speech. His enhanced sight kept him too preoccupied. 'Thats about over two hundred thousand'. Vokun sighed. Ours is barely six thousand *sigh*...great'. Now, Vokun was never a religious person. He couldn't remember the last time he prayed. But now more than ever he felt the urge to. He unsheathed Dynasty & Destiny, then stabbed them into the ground. Dropping to a knee, he used Dynasty too cut his hand then smeared the blood on destiny. Breathing a small flame into his fist he began to pray. Looking up he saw someone. "Jul...' Vokun whispered. "Vokun...you know how to ask for power." Vokun Sung;" Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin, naal ok zin los vahriin, Wah dein vokul mahfaeraak ahst vaal! Ahrk fin norok paal graan fod nust hon zindro zaan, Dovahkiin, fah hin kogaan mu draal"! Every time Vokun repeated the song he felt his chest get heavier, his senses getting stronger, brimstone fuming from his mouth. He removed his mask and spewed fourth a great stream of flame. The soldiers around him where surprised, then began to cheer. "We've ourselves a dragon"!!! One yelled. Replacing his mask, Vokun swung his swords into his hands. He then let forth a sound through his mask that none on that world remembered. Vokun-Dohva-Daal!

Sir. Galen Farrel:
Blood. Blood surrounded Galen, Blood as black as midnight. He spun , Ravager cleanly cleaving through the shadow warriors who were foolish enough to try and take him. It had been ten minutes since the horn in the bell tower called out, Five since the sky unleashed its furry, Heat and flame hurled through the air to his right,'The dragon is awakening in Vokun,' Galen thought with surprising clarity. The King was beside him now, holding his own despite his age, and decapitated a shadow warrior as it made a lunge for Galen. Galen returned the favor by slicing an arrow, bound for the king neck, from mid air. Galen seemed to move with unnatural speed, thou to him the world was moving slow, this is the longest his precognition has ever worked. He fought on, so many dead, the body of a man fell at his feet . That face, it was the guardsmen from the night before. Galen found something inside of him flare to the surface, seeing the body of his friend on the damp blood & rain soaked ground, In this moment, Galen lost control. Time had no meaning any more; he caught flashes of Vokun, dancing his way across the battle field, his twin blades laying waste to any who faced him. Galen even caught a glimpse of the Cloaked man, who decimated scores of shadow warriors, ripping them apart with darkness of their very souls. Smoke filled the air, Galen realized that lightning had struck one of the catapults the shadow army had tried to get into position before the Lebrith flanking force fell upon them. Two more, four more, sixteen, Galen soon lost count of how many he was slaying. Automatically, Galen spun. Vokun was near him, didn't see the shadow warrior at his rear, Ravager took care of that . Over the course of the next hour, Galen and Vokun fought back to back. 'Do my eyes deceive me' Galen thought, 'They are actually thinning!' "THEIR RANKS ARE IN DISARRAY!!!" shouted the King, joy filling his voice. A sharp pain ripped through Galen's side, he had allowed his attention to slip, and now a shadow warrior lifted his blade to his lips and licked Galen's blood from it, the blood haze claimed Galen once more as he and Ravager split the Warrior clean down the middle and searched for the next target. Another hour passed, another slaughter, Ravager looked as black as the abominations they slew, thick blood running down its length onto the murky wet soil. To his right he spotted the cloaked man again , though his haze prevented any thought other than the next kill, toying with what he undoubtedly considered pathetic puppets not worth his time, for he casually summoned fourth large dark tendrils that drug screaming shadow warriors into vortexes of darkness that opened in the ground. A roar of furry snapped Galen out of his blood haze, Galen quickly took note of his surroundings.' We are winning!'Galen, thought astounded; He took note, their can be no more than a hundred enemies remaining; however, he also observed that there were about eighty soldiers left, they rallied around their king, with Vokun at his side, began to slaughter the remaining shadow warriors, suddenly the Shadow General, leader of the invasion force and deadliest warrior among them, appeared. He bellowed his fury as he stood over the disemboweled and dismembered heaps of what had been his elite guard, slain by Galen's hand. The roar was a challenge to any who wished to face him, before Galen could react to this; however, the cloaked man accepted the generals challenge, engaging him a blood boiling duel to the death.

I walk towards the General with a purpose. He was about 6'9 with bulky black armor and stained with the blood of slain soldiers. 'You.Must.Die.' I gave him my pattened stare that caused lesser beings to simply bow so as not to have the unfortunance of receiving that stare. The General was arrogant and dumb enough to stand befoe that stare with anger and fury. "My master will reward me greatly for killing a Dark Beasf!" The general barked I simply stated at him and conveyed the message through my eyes asking. 'Are you done yet?' The general roared with rage and drew his sword a giant black cleaver that glistened with the blood of its fallen enemies and charged forward bloodlust rising to the point. I could almost smell it and from what I could smell only a mongrel such as this muscle bound brute could produce. I rolled my eyes 'So it begins' and I charged forward shadow swords called forth. We met midway he went directly for an overhead swing that could have cleaved a mongrel. Keywords cleave a mongrel in half. I dodged to the right and began my counterattack I first took a stab to see if his armor was any thicker then the average soldiers 7/10 it wasn't. This would be one of those 3/10 chance his armor was thicker. My strike bounced off his side. I look with widen eyes and the mongrel of a general turns to me and grins. I wish he didn't blacken teeth and rotting teeth greeting me. 'By the Old Dark Ones! It stinks like a pile of rotting corpses!' I sneer at him, I jump a short height my fist leveled at his face and prepared to launch a punch at his face "Keep your mouth shut!" and I released the punch aiming at his face. Surprisingly it makes contact the general got a mouth full of fist and it didnt taste very well due to my anger that got the better of me and he ended up going flying several feet. There was a resounding cheer from the mongrels due to that punch. The general on the other hand was not so happy he spit up a good bit of blood and with it majority of his teeth fell out. He looked appalled then his pea brain began processing what just happened. His fist curled up popping his joints due to how much pressure he has exerted and stood back up albeit somewhat unsteadily. I bidded him to come at me again. This time he didnt this time he simply dropped his cleaver. He growled menacingly but then began to chuckle and I saw the reason why. A rather large golden key was in his hand. I raised a brow 'Let's see where this goes.' I watch in anticipation as he lifts the key vertically and turns it. It begins to whirl for a few seconds and stops but not before releasing a red labyrinth design across the sky then vanishing shortly after. 'Huh?' I wait a few more seconds still nothing. 'Well.' As I loosen my shoulders 'that was a wais-WOAH!' My precognition saves me barely and I mean barely a sword had pierced my left hand. "!" I bite back intense pain coursing through my left hand. The general sees that his attack hadn't made its correct target but still debilitating the enemy is always a bonus. The generals gummy grin spread wide. 'Still disgusting.' I sneered and took a glance at my hand 'Curses.' As I get a closer look at the wound I see that it's a iron sword embedded into my hand. 'I won't be using this hand anytime soon Went straight through. This fight became much more annoying.' As I set to quickly remove the blade. It vanishes in a golden glow. My eyes widen once more 'What?' I look around to search for the blade that was just lodged into my hand the general puts his right hand forward when suddenly several golden ripples appeared in the air in these golden ripples several weapons of all sorts from Iron swords to steel halberds 'This mongrel has a mobile arsenal!' The general chuckles slightly and yells as best as he can with what little to no teeth he has. "Dye!" Then the weapons launched themselves at me. My eyes widen as I begin the deadly dance of dodging these rapidly launched weapons. I simply begin running towards the right when weapons immediately impacted and scarred the land scape with their impacts. 'Crap' I search both sides to see ripples at the ready on both sides ready to fire if I dared to move. 'No way out....' I look to the general his arrogant grin of victory marred his face. I rethink my situation whilst I channel darkness to my feet and my back for what I shall do. The General did not give me no such chance he fired all of the current ripples and several others he created to cover the central 'lane' I was stuck in I had to move now or never. 'Here I go!' Then I charged forward I could see all the weapons that were in front of me slowing down but still too fast to track. 'I'm gonna have to take it.' I released the pent up darkness in my feet to increase my speed. I felt the first weapon impact my shoulder. I didn't care I needed to simply kill him. Again and again I felt the pain of being stabbed in the lower section of the ribs, stomach and appendix. Well at least that's what the area these humans called I've been wounded at it matters not I shall deal with these nuisances later. Now that I pay attention I see that I've quickly covered the distance between the general and I. The general didn't look to happy to see me so close and personal so he called forth that ridiculously large black butchers knife of a sword and was preparing for a horizontal sweep. I began transferring all the pent up darkness in my back to my right arm and most prominently my fist. My fist glowed with a dark aura surrounding it. Three feet the general stopped firing. Two feet the general was beginning to swing. One foot I leaped into the air and prepared to punch him. 8 inches I release my fist. 6 inches the generals sword impacted my fist. There was no contest. My fist shattered that maddeningly long sword and made contact with the generals face. 0 inches the generals face began to distort and change into a face of agony. Then with all of the remaining darkness pumped it into my fist and the generals head promptly shattered due to the force being exerted upon. The generals headless body fell backwards along with me. But I was not done yet I had seen that in the generals left hand that strange golden key appeared. I simply snatched it with my hand and held it into a tight grip "Mine." I growled out in anger. Then there was one last issue to deal with the General's broken sword...It was fixing itself...with the generals blood. My eyes widened tiredly in surprise then lowered back down due to tiredness..."To the victor *Huff* do the *Huff* spoils." As I gingerly grab ahold of the hilt of the self-repairing sword. Then I fall over into a heap key in pocket and new sword in hand. 'I...won' an unseen smirk upon my unconscious face.

Sir. Galen Farrel:
Galen raced over to the cloaked mans body, a Lebrithian soldier had arrived just before him. Galen slapped the solider on his on the back of helmet, startling the soldier who stopped just short of removing the cloaked mans hood. Galen force the solider aside and checked the Cloaked mans wounds,'This is not good.'Galen thought to himself as Vokun and the King stride up to him. "Is he dead?" asked the King, a weariness in his voice. "No." Galen said as he lifted the Cloaked man from the scored ground," But he will be soon unless I get him away from these fires. He needs darkness, total darkness for his body to begin to heal itself." A golden key falls from the cloaked mans pocket, the one Galen had seen him retrieve from the shadow general shortly after his victory,Vokun eyes went wide as the king stooped down, retrieving it. Galen instructs him to slips it into a pouch next to his carving knife. The sky cleared as the King, Galen{carrying the unconscious Cloaked man, who still clutched his newly acquired sword }, Vokun, and the remaining seventy wounded and exhausted soldiers returned to the city, leaving the carnage behind them for the time being. Several hours later Galen and Vokun sat quietly in the pitch black cellar of the Golden-Maiden,Vokun was meditating while Galen listened faint sounds of the celebration above. ' Let them reveal in their victory, worry about the morning wen it comes' Galen thought, his musings interrupted by Vokun's sudden snoring. He chuckled to himself at the ease in which Vokun found his sleep, having no such luck of his own, Galen leaned back against a wall, propped Ravager at one side and the cloaked mans new blade on the other, he kept watch the rest of the night, planing what they would do from here.

Vokun:
The battle was the hardest vokun had ever fought. He was a force of nature. Dark soldiers were slaughtered by the dozens. Dynasty shattered several times but was repaired with the blood of the shadow soldiers. Destiny became engulfed in flame, setting fire to all who were struck by it. As his bloodlust consumed him, something else took hold. His "gifts" became stronger than they have ever been. Vokun became a dragon again. He streaked through the battlefield cutting down all who were ahead of him. Coming apon the siege equipment, he drew the largest breath he could. the ensuing flame was so hot, so forceful, so bright that all that was left were the literal shadows of the dark warriors. Senses raging, he could hear and see the entire battlefield. Smell the blood, sweat....tears. He saw the king fighting like a man half his age next to Galen. He saw a massive brute making his way towards them. Vokun's mask began to hum. His mouth yelled words his ears didn't understand. As soon as the last of the words were yelled, he moved so fast he slashed through the Brute and was on the other side of the battlefield within seconds. Perhaps sensing the power near him, Galen turned and saw Vokun. Fighting their way to each other, they soon stood back to back. Time seemed to have no meaning at this point. They could've fought for an hour but it felt like a decade. Moving towards the king, he saw a mass of Shadow soldiers charging towards the king. In the back of his mind he heard a voice. "Vokun...what was the duty you promised your friend?" Vokun shouted out loud; "Protect the King"!!! His Mask began to sing with power, His chest felt like a mountain. To Vokun, the world went silent. He opened his mouth, Yelling something he couldn't understand. From his mouth came a force so powerful it obliterated the mass of soldiers. The shadow army was thinning. "THEIR RANKS ARE IN DISARRAY!!!" shouted the King, joy filling his voice. The King and Vokun fought like beasts on the plain. Nothing could stop them. A massive roar ripped the field, Standing at the epicenter was the shadow general. The royal met this challenge and fought the general. They fought fast and hard. Vokun could only catch glimpses due to his own battle but felt and explosion of darkness. He turned to see the royal standing victorious, then collapsing on the ground. Galen raced to him, with Vokun and the king not far behind. "Is he dead?" asked the King, a weariness in his voice. "No." Galen said as he lifted the royal from the scorched ground," But he will be soon unless I get him away from these fires. He needs darkness, total darkness for his body to begin to heal itself." A golden key falls from the royal's pocket. Vokun's go wide. "The key." The voice within him said. The voice was deep, powerful, and sounded very old. Galen told the king to pocket it. The sky cleared as the King, Galen (carrying the unconscious royal), Vokun, and the remaining seventy wounded and exhausted soldiers returned to the city, leaving the carnage behind them for the time being. Several hours later Galen and Vokun sat quietly in the pitch black cellar of the Golden-Maiden, Vokun was meditating in the darkness. Vokun was a mess, broken ribs, several deep lacerations, cuts and bruises on his tongue from speaking those powerful words. He couldn't speak. Dynasty & Destiny had changed as well. Dynasty became larger and more jagged, while Destiny set it's self alight anytime he unsheathed it. 'Damn mask' He thought. 'I didn't think the stories were true'. Exhausted, he began to fall asleep. As he did the voice spoke one more. "You fought well young one". "You may the one after all..."

Sir. Galen Farrel:
The morning was quiet as warm sunlight illuminated the room from a small window near the ceiling, Galen sat taking a cloth to Ravager, cleaning the last of the blood from its blade. The barmaid silently slipped into the cellar with a small flagon of ail, Galen tried to pay her but she wouldn't have it, refusing his coin with a sweet smile. Galen silently returned the smile and took the gift; when the barmaid left Galen crossed the floor, making sure not to wake Vokun as he slept in the corner, and approached the cloaked man. Sipping from the flagon, Galen checked over the Cloaked man's injuries. He was pleased to find that they had all healed, leaving scars where gaping wounds had once been. Finishing the last of the ail Galen turned to see the cellar door open again; Captain Elrog, now sporting a bandage across one eye, silently becond him over. "The King is going to be making a public speech in about an hour," the Elrog said," he has personally requested the presence of you and your friends." " Well be there." Galen said with a nod. Galen woke Vokun as Elrog left, informing him of the king's request. The next half hour passed slowly, Galen wash himself and his armor in the bath house, Vokun took his turn after Galen finished. Galen and Vokun then entered the upper level of the Golden-Maiden for a meal before the attending the Kings speech. While they were eating they were joined by the cloaked man, as he sat at the bar ,new sword at his side, Galen slid him the key. He quickly explained why he had it and what they were about to go do. Ten minutes later they were standing in a beautiful garden before the king, the citizens of the city standing as a crowed at their backs. Every one waited for the Kings words.

I wake to find myself in a pitch black basement. I sneer at the fact that its not even relatively worthy of someone of my ranking. Then I remember...oh right the general. I grinned at that memory. Those I'll remember forever. 'My very first real battle. It will be legendary.' I shrug my shoulders that pop I Silently groan in satisfaction. Then I begin to get up from my resting place cracking my body so as to get back up In walking condition. 'Now where is that...ah there you are.' I of course was referring to my newly acquired sword. Truly get a good look at it. It looked like a very big Knife as in a giant would find this useful as a sword. Though when I went to touch it I shuddered abit it felt a little...negative I frown to myself 'I'll figure this out later.' Then I lift it and place it onto my back calling forth dozens of dark threads to hold it to my cloak then I check myself over. 'Hmm those scars will heal themselves soon enough I shrug my shoulders and begin to head up the stairs, footsteps silent as ever. Once I reached the top of the stairs I notice that this was that tavern that the Knight and the dragon-mongrel resided in before seeking my aide. I notice also that the duo were eating some peasant food. Once I sat myself to the right of the knight. He pulled out my golden key out of his pocket and gave it to me. I quickly grab it glanced at it and slid it back into my pocket all of this was happening while the knight was blabbering on about why he had it. I could care less as long as you return it to me as soon as my awakening pleased me and allowed myself to forgive his foolishness in touching my treasures. Then he explained that we shall be in a garden to listen to the mongrels kings speech on their bravery. I'll amuse their fancies for now. So now I find myself at these gardens waiting to get on with the mongrel kings speech.

Vokun:
'Pain'. Vokun thought as he woke. 'I...am in so much pain'. "Hey". Vokun looked up to see Galen shaking him. "Kings gonna give a speech and we're invited." The next half hour passed slowly, Vokun took his turn in the bathhouse after Galen finished. While he washed he noticed some of the new features the battle left him. 'Great.' He thought. 'New scar's...and...what is that? Vokun looked at his back with the waters reflections. There were what looked like a tattooed design. 'I don't remember getting that'. Giving up on trying to disern what the design was, he made his way to his armor. He noticed a cloth covering it, along with a note. It read; "You've made Firestead proud". "I know now that your the boy who survived the fall of Firestead and that your father was captain of the guard". "My grandfather stole this from Yssmir's". "I believe it belongs to you know". Signed The King. Vokun pulled the cloth, revealing something that almost stopped his heart. It was ebony plated with gold trimmings. Shining bright was the crest of Firestead. A man standing before a dragon, breathing fire. A tear streaked down the ebony plates. He put on the armor. Picking up his mask saw another new thing. There was writing on it. It looked old and at the same time he knew and didn't understand what the writing was. Putting it on, he then picked up the cloth and fashioned into a hooded cloak using the crest to bind it in place. Galen and Vokun then entered the upper level of the Golden-Maiden for a meal before attending the Kings speech. Still not fully at ease with Galen he only raised his mask to the tip of his nose. Everyone waited for the Kings words.

Sir. Galen Farrel:
Galen and his companions stood before the King, for he told them to stand as his equals. "TO DAY,"the king began," is a glorious day, a day for celebration. Last night the army of the shadow king marched on our great kingdom, their armor was strong, their warriors were fierce, and they fought with hearts as black as the void. Though their numbers were great, our forces stood true against insurmountable odds. "{the king gestured to the seventy surviving soldiers who stood in formation at his right}"These men who stand before you are the greatest men I have had the privilege to fight along side, and though many of you are in mourning over the loss of you husbands, your brothers, and your sons.....know that their sacrifice was not in vain. News of our victory here has already began to spread, on the backs of messengers and volunteers, our deed has spread across Artania like a wild fire. Hope has now been restored, for now we know THEY CAN BE STOPPED! ......{the king paused to let his words sink in , taking pride in the hope he saw flash in the faces of his people}..... and who do we owe the most thanks? To the men is a given, to the fallen is a must, but who do we truly owe are lives?" {as the king motioned with his hands to Galen and his companions, an aid approached the king with a large box on a pillow} "THESE THREE MEN WHO STAND BEFORE YOU! For in our darkest hour, they demonstrated more courage, more honer, and more bravery then has been seen since the days of Halishak. But you deserve more than words, for you acts I am commissioning three statues in your likenesses. The three shall stand in the center of the castle courtyard as a monument to this victory and a memorial of the fallen; however, this still is not enough. Please step forward when I say our names and receive these gifts with my blessing.......Sir. Galen Farrel," Galen stepped forward, helmet in hand and head held high with pride. The king opened the box and retrieved a gold amulet with a bright flawless emerald that shown gleamed as bright as the sun." For your bravery in battle and your cunning tactical mind....I present you with the Amulet of Lebrith.....MAY IT KEEP YOUR MIND FREE OF DISTRACTIONS AND YOUR STRENGTH FROM FAILING. Galen bowed as the king slipped the amulet around his neck, Galen then turned, beaming despite himself. The king looked at Vokun as if to ask permission, vokun nodded yes. "Vokun , for your unwavering courage and you faith in a blind old man," the king said with a chuckle as Vokun, sporting a new set of ebony armor, stepped forward. The king pulled a ring with a large rube in the center out of the box," I present you with the Ring of the Phoenix.....MAY THE FIRE IN YOUR HEART NEVER EXTINGUISH AND YOU ALWAYS RISE FROM THE ASHES OF Despair." The rube began to glow as the king slid it onto Vokun's finger, Vokun turned, his face hidden by his mask and took his place by Galen. "And as for you," the king said looking at the cloaked man," know not your name, nor any title you go by; however, I have witnessed you power over darkness and shadows." The king reached into the box one last time and pulled out a silver dagger with a black gem in-bedded in the hilt, along with a scabbard. Sliding the dagger into the scabbard , the king said,"For your utter ruthlessness on the battle field, for the advanced warning you provided, and for your slaying of the enemy general.....I present you with the King Slayer. A mystic dagger that we have kept hidden for many a generation after the exicution of its former owner. This dagger will find its mark, no matter how difficult your enemy is to strike at, no matter how well protected he may feel. This blade will find his heart." The king finished by handing it to the cloaked man, who took it as if he had been offered a measly slice of bread. he then turned and stood with the others. " FROM THIS DAY FORWARD, I PROCLAIM THIS DAY...A HOLIDAY, FROM NOW UNTIL THE END OF TIME THESE THREE SHALL BE CELEBRATED AND THE FALLEN REMEMBERED ON THIS DAY!!!!! NOW, PEOPLE OF LEBRITH, RETURN TO YOUR HOMES MOURN YOUR DEAD, REJOICE IN THEIR SACRIFICE, AND NEVER FORGET THAT ONE DAY THIS LAND SHALL BE FREE. TAKE PRIDE IN THAT THE FALL OF THE SHADOW KING STARTED IN OUR KINGDOM!!!! with that the king raised his hands up, the soldiers saluted, the crowed erupted into thunderous applause that lasted for nearly ten minutes before they started to file out of the garden, the king and his aid departed to the castle. When the last person departed, Captain Elrog approached, "The king requests a private audience with you three in his chambers." on that Galen and his companions fallowed Elrog to the castle.

Vokun:
"TO DAY,"the king began his speech. While he was speaking Vokun eyed the crowd. 'Wow'. He thought. 'We lost more that i thought'. 'We were six thousand strong...only seventy survivors'. 'Although we did defeat an army of two hundred fifty thousand'. 'We have quality while they have quantity'. "Please step forward when I say your names and receive these gifts with my blessing.......Sir. Galen Farrel..." Vokun was still enthralled with the debate in his mind. 'However...if we weren't here, the dark army would have thrashed this place and moved on...' 'Mayb-'. The king looked at Vokun. 'Ah, my turn is it'? Vokun nodded to the king who continued speaking. "Vokun , for your unwavering courage and you faith in a blind old man," the king said with a chuckle as Vokun, sporting a new set of ebony armor, stepped forward. The king pulled a ring with a large ruby in the center out of the box," I present you with the Ring of the Phoenix.....MAY THE FIRE IN YOUR HEART NEVER EXTINGUISH AND YOU ALWAYS RISE FROM THE ASHES OF DESPAIR." The ruby began to glow as the king slid it onto Vokun's finger. the sudden surge of power was followed by the voice. "A phoenix eye...." Vokun turned, his concerned face hidden by his mask, and took his place by Galen. "And as for you..." Vokun once again dazzed out of the speech. 'What is that voice'? He thought. "Ancestry". It answered. Taken aback by this Vokun struggled to think of a response. He was pulled out of his thoughts by the crowds thunderous applause. After the courtyard emptied Captain Elrog approached, "The king requests a private audience with you three in his chambers." on that that request the three warriors followed Elrog to the castle.
