Some calcs gimme near 54k newtons, or ~12k pounds/6 tons.
It would severely bruise or tear off the skin covering for sure and knock him down/away if he doesn't brace. Would also probably damage a T-1!Arnie a bit but wouldn't really do much to the T-3 one.

Wonder what kind of damage that would do to the T.... Not sure about how hard a punch from a half ton guy coming at 107 km/h would be, but if he were to sprint right into the Terminator, he would slam into him with around 180 kilo-joules, that's 1/5 the kinetic energy of a modern grenade, however when you consider a grenade sends kinetic energy in all directions, someone that heavy slamming into you would almost definitely be worst. Here's the calc I did to get it. KE = 1/2MV(2) Speed: 30 m/s (based off his 107 km/h sprint) Mass: about 400 kg 30(2) * 400 = 360,000/.5 = 180,000 joules (180 kj)

(sans amazing maths) It's the reason why spears and arrows are so deadly. All the force is delivered by a focused point.

@shadow was the T-850's chassis destroyed by that? I can't remember. Hold on, Ill try and find the video, but I don't think so, It took his fuel cell detonating to scrap him and the T-X, only after the cell blew him to bits did the door finish closing (because his body was no longer in the way.)

Never mind my calcs, I used 995 kg in-armor instead of pounds <.<

The vid I posted earlier shows him holding it open, shortly after he just stucks his chassis under it to have both arms free.

found it, he is holding it open with one hand, grabbing the T-X with the other, then the Full force of the door is sitting on his shoulder as he uses both hands to Terminate the T-X

so how does that force compare to the punch calc for MC?

If that pressure doesn't damage him MC's punches will just push him around at best imo.

so how does that force compare to the punch calc for MC? I would assume that the 850 would probably take it quite well. It was holding open a door that was pressing 25-Tons or more down on top of him for a minute or two, where as the punch that has less than that for a second or two of contact. P.s. I feel a tad stupid for missing Blair's video post ....on page one.

it happens in longer debates sometimes. So the 850's arm was probably putting out at least equal force to the doors hydraulics right? Does that mean if he tried he'd put that much force into his blows? Or am I wrong in my thinking.

GuardianAngel1911-AdminIt depends on how fast his arm is moving and how much he weighs. We need to know how fast his arm is moving when he punches, and from that we might be able to calc it.
