I dont think so. Wouldn't the fuel cells harm other T's? What I'm saying is, is that the T's only use one cell at a time. So its possible that they could. And yea, it would hurt them if they were caught in the blast; however, you can say that about all grenades. That's why you tend not to throw grenades into areas where friendlies are in the blast zone, but you get one of those lobbed into a trench of clones, or a formation where only a couple of friendly Ts are and it would be a devastating weapon. Im sure Skynet would only allow that if the Defense forces are in danger of losing.

I dunno. I mean, when the T-800 first rolled off the assembly line, they had a habit of ..... physically removing the older 600 models if the 600 was standing in the way of the 800's objective. Skynet thinks like a machine, it doesn't give a damn about the troops under its command, If a five or six Ts are going to get caught in a blast that will kill a dozen or more humans, then it WILL sacrifice those five or six.

What about the EMP?

Me and GA done been over that. Everything above a 600 unit (as well as the tank style units) were EMP hardened in order to Counter EMP tech the Resistance was using. Now, the Republic does have an Ion grenade, and their blasters have a slight Ion charge to each shot. This will give them a slight edge due to skynet never encountering Ion tech before. The reason I say slight is because it makes the guns more even. T-850s and up were hardened against plasma damage (due to the resistance using captured Plasma rifles against them. So the Ion charge in the DC-15s will give the gun more bite.

Ah, okay. Are the T's primarily using plasma weapons?

Ah, okay. Are the T's primarily using plasma weapons? Primarily, they have a Phased Plasma Pulse Rifle that basically drops you in one shot (if it hits in the body/head region) and something akin to a Plasma minigun. Ballistic weapons were still used, just not as much after the advent of Plasma tech. The Armored and Air units all use Plasma cannons, The plasma cannons damage varies depending on whether it is light, medium, or heavy. Light will drop you but do minimal damage to vehicles, it packs a little more kick than the Plasma Rifles, Medium will blow the shit out of vehicles and people, and Heavy.......well heavy repeating plasma cannons have been known to turn humans to ash and hunks of chaired flesh in one hit and they completely wreck vehicles.

This would be an awesome fight to watch.

@shadow on the T-800's knocking other models out of the way the Super Battle Droids/B2's were prone to doing that too, because they were too single minded in the completion of their objective to destroy whatever Republic force was there....so interesting similarity that could be noticed by the clones. - Been looking up Clone era weaponry more, they utilized a special concussion grenade that was magnetic, could prove useful against their metallic foes. A Thermal Detonator type made to maximize casualties in it's 16 foot blast radius. - Also are starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Clone_assassin involved in this? Or aside from the specified types are the others just straight up Clone Infantry?

This would be an awesome fight to watch. Yea, I picture the whole battle like an extremely gritty and completely darker version/more intense version of a clone war battle.

The 800 didn't give a crap about the 600 due to them being far inferior. So yea, the clones would get a kick out of that if there were any 600s here. How strong were the Concussion grenades? Aren't they normally used to disorient orgnics due to the.....well....concussive force. Being magnetic helps, but it might not do anything to the Ts if its only meant to stun the living. Thermal detonators are always a good go. Oh, and I already got knuk's thoughts on this. How do you feel about the possibility of the Terminators being able to use one of their fuel cells as a mini hydrogen bomb grenade? I was thinking just infantry. The only specialized class (other than arcs) is the scuba troopers, and that is to fight the Hydrobots in the lake that separates the battle zones.

Well the particular grenades in question were used against vehicles, including when used by the rebellion and empire alike vehicles like AT-ST's not the absolute heaviest armored vehicles perhaps but vehicles none the less. So I would think they could at least take out a Termie or two.
Yeah, I don't know how tightly packed Terminator combat formations are normally though so not sure how effective on numbers, but as anti vehicle they would likely be great.
To the Hydrogen cell thing, is that a common tactic...or rather have we seen that used much before? I know in T3 Arnold was forced to use his but he had the Terminator Terminator on top of him about to rip him in half in it's attempt to kill John Conner and he was in such a hopeless spot that was his only other option. Doesn't seem like it's a normal strategy but more like the Predator's take you and the surrounding city blocks with me bomb.

also I was wrong it's a 19 foot blast radius on the Thermal Dets.

Doesn't seem like it's a normal strategy but more like the Predator's take you and the surrounding city blocks with me bomb. I remember those now. I guess that was a game mechanic that they didn't work on the CIS forces, or at least barely damaged them. They weren't generally packed in tight formations, they learned not to do that early on when the resistance were using salvaged military equipment, ie various forms of grenades, to take down the early model Terminators. Even after the resistance moved up to plasma tech skynet still kept its forces spread in away that the fewest possible units were lost during explosions. Yea, the fuel cell thing wasn't used very much in open combat. Yea, I had to think back for a minute, yea, it was more of a Predator F-U tactic. Well, the ok, the only time they might be used, actively, as a grenade is if one gets damaged (due to a blaster shot/concussive damage or what have you) and the Terminator is forced to eject it. Then the only logical place to trow it would be at the enemy before it blows. Other than that, the clones may want to put an extra round or two into fallen Ts, least one self destruct while the clones are marching over it.

Ok, so where do we stand in the infantry department? Are they about even? or does one side have an major edge?

Considering the Termies resemble the IG Magnaguards and similar droids that were able to keep fighting even after ridiculously heavy damage I don't think the Clones will have a problem with checking to make sure a target is perma down.
True, but at the same time did any of those grenades have the kind of power a Thermal Det has?
And yeah, that's the best I can think *shrugs*
