Anyone seen this? I thought it was a good popcorn flick, not sure on its story though. A lot of funny moments.
Also, a good amount of fan service, even though I doubt many people ever had seen the show. As someone who had watched it as a kid cause my parents bought several seasons, I gotta say that it was more enjoyable because that.

agreed, it may not have been an utter classic but I thought it was a pretty fun film, it's a Disney family movie so I was expecting it to be fairly messed up from the original but it was actually very fun and enjoyable if you've seen the show.

And I will say that, while Depp does have a lot of funny moments, Armie Hammer does well. They both play their roles perfectly. Its a nice almost parody of the original. Kinda like a realistic version of it.

yeah, I thought Depp did good, he was believable. Though I think Silver stole the movie.

I haven't seen it yet. The reviews kind of turned me off, but this kind of has me interested now. I might see it after Pacific Rim.

When I saw it, the theater was pretty much filled up completely, and because Despicable Me 2 was opening there as well it was stuffed too (which I was happier about than anything, since the place has been suffering lately), and the whole crowd seemed pretty pleased. We laughed quite a bit, and people were happy when they were walking out. In my book, that means the film did its job, and thus I was satisfied.
It wasn't spectacular, but it was indeed a good popcorn movie. It got a trifle ridiculous near the end, but hell, I don't think too many people minded.
Pacific Rim is on my "Absolutely will See" list.
