www.bleedingcool.com/forums/front-page-comic-news/80958-harry-dresden-returns-comics-war-cry.htmlJim Butcher's The Dresden Files: War Cry will be co-written by Butcher and Mark Powers with art by Carlos Gomez and covers by Stjepan Sejic.
In War Cry, four months have passed since the events depicted in Dead Beat, the 7th novel in the Dresden Files series. A war is raging between the vampire forces of the Red Court and the White Council-a war the wizards are losing. So desperate are the Council that they've dragooned the experienced and the outcast to reinforce their thinning ranks of Wardens. One of these draftees is one Harry Dresden, Chicago's only wizard for hire and a guy who's long been looked upon with suspicion by the supernatural authorities. Now, he's one of them, and his first big mission as a Warden is a doozy: take a small team of greenhorns to a frigid town in the middle of nowhere to rescue a handful of mortals who've been targeted by the Red Court. The question is, why exactly are these particular mortals so crucial to the outcome of the war? The answer will come only if Harry can keep them, and his team, alive for one very long night.
Is that Morgan?

"Dinosaur cowgirl wins again!" "You can't catch Dinosaur Cowgirl!" -Maggie Dresden
This girl has like 2-3 scenes and already she's one of my favorite characters in the series.

It had bad guys I actually felt sorry(poor ascher), Except the bigfoot, he was an ass. The second I read Grey's description I knew what he was. But Butcher caught me on the other aspects of him. Still would like to know what he meant by Rent.

Perhaps he's trying to make up for the mistakes of his kin and his rent is more of repentence hence him asking only a dollar from Dresden. The real payment was helping the world. - Also that "dagger" how much you want to bet twas the Spear of Destiny's head.

can't be repentance if he's a monster for hire. Only reason he was doing good was because of who hired him first.
I didn't even remember he picked up the dagger but that does seem in line with the artifacts they were going for. cant really recall any famous Christian daggers.

Mab's a pretty good example of why the supernatural world doesn't have the same requirements for what we understand as how things work as the mortal world if she is the chosen protector of Earth and still one of the big bads anything's possible. Daggers no, but considering Rome used leaf blades on both daggers and spears and the power would have been in the blade since obviously it comes from the part with the actual power (such as the nails in the swords) it makes sense for it to have been reduced to just a the blade and a short part of the handle which can attach to any generic shaft.
