@mugiwarablair Have you read the Dresden Files? Because I've noticed a couple similarities between it's magic system and yours in how they work and what's not allowed specifically

Specifically speaking, do any Humans get on the verge of getting twisted and warped wrongly if they kill each other by Magic?
If you watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica, they also have a presence of the above fact worth noting in just the Anime alone, and to get to the Spin-offs would confirm the above happening a lot. Also there's Time Powers at work and people going against that Law a lot, as well.

@guardianangel-> I don't remember reading any books from the dresden files but I saw like, 2-3 episodes of the tv series years ago.
@cross-> If they get killed but weirder types of magic yes, you can imagine what space, matter or blood magic can do to a fleshy target.

YIKES!!!
Matter and Dimensional Space Magics in particular, if they can form a counterpart to Dot hack-verse Data Drain, the Yikes factor would be astounding. What'd be more shocking is if that's the least of anyone's worries.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica has Magic-users, and if you seen the series, its suspected that the Magic users from there don't have their souls primarily attached to their bodies. Whether or not the suspicion is correct is not something I will say aloud, you may have to watch the first 3 episodes but to warn you, if you get to Episode 03 and watch it completely there is no going back.

@mugiwarablair well I do recommend the books as they are epic. The series....is much weaker not very good.
But the rule about no necromancy of humans, no "black" magic, no time travel/time fuckery spells, magic working on physics, there are similarities. However there are also differences in the way you have races and such divided up.

I'd also say likewise with the Rosario + Vampire manga in contrast with the Anime, the Manga is more Epic than the Anime but less Epic than The Dresden Files novels. All of Madoka Magica is Epic from Beginning to End, though.
One of the differences worth noting thus far is that The Dresden Files made it clear that in general, 'Purebred' Human Magic-users are not the Most Powerful of the Bunch, and The Original Merlin might not have been a 'Purebred' to begin with.
I can't recall if Blair's case with the Creatures say likewise as it seems more balanced, aside from regards to the Immortals and Unkillables/Nigh-Unkillables among them.

Data drain is the thing puts you back to level 1 right ? I remember that from the opening cutscene of the ps2 game where Azure Kyte casually owns Haseo and knocks him back to level 1. If so blood magic has closed enough analogues that steal knowledge or "essence" and Time magic can be used to erase memories or the effects of training if the user is skilled enough.
Edit: the power level of mages is tied to 3 things, mana reserves, mana potency and skill. Some species have naturally deeper reserves and/or more potent mana but both of these increase with practice and of course vary between individuals. So most high elven mages are more powerful than human ones but there are a good number of exceptions. Skill obviously varies but besides average intellect species have little influence on it.

Time Powers beyond the Slowing or Stopping varieties are not pretty to imagine, and yes in the first encounter Haseo was wiped across the floor by Azure Kite. I wouldn't lie about the fact. Data Drain also does more than just knock you back to level 01, it also gives you other unpleasant side-effects that aren't fun to deal with. Memory loss, getting weakened in other ways, even barely holding the weapon and bypassing magical defenses if the hit happens. Also, let me see if I recall this correctly, every individual in those armies are like Armies of Spawn-esque beings, right? (Anyone recalled Spawn, brought to us by Todd McFarlene?)

The Super Girl admin doesn't count ? Something tells me that might have been aside from her, that is. Next up is to see whether or not Karen Star might find us. Or if we want more males who aren't too busy, to ask if PrimusxPilus, Dassadec and Xornell will find us, as I suspect Riverlia the Sage is busy. Still, Spawn-esque armies are not easy things to fight. I wonder when we can go see Knights of the Cross/Azure Knights Expies if they do exist, and if they do exist, what drives from the nearest Big-G man's counterparts would they use? Supernatural Powers not far apart from Marvel Ghost Riders or Image comics' Redeemer units? Divine and Holy Weaponry? Something else that I can't recall at the moment?

Um...well "holy" is just what some people call stuff like or think is related to something they believe to be a deity. Likewise, "divine" weapons are just called that because they belong to a legendary person who is regarded as a physical god.

It could be fun to see matches in this site involving such a world really, wouldn't you think? Why do I feel its more focused than Dragon Ball and DBZ, though?

Maybe because the main characters aren't the top dogs ?

Maybe because the main characters aren't the top dogs ? Perhaps. Although it should be warned that the first 3 Dresden Files novels are admittedly not too focused, except for the 3rd one's final chapters. The Dresden Files lead mains aren't the Top Dogs either and its only fairly recent that one of them has more Raw Power than their late ma's old man. (Said Late Ma's old man is still above him in terms of Magical Skill, Arcane Knowledge and Fighting Experience overall! Keyword is in Italics!) Oddly enough I find The Madoka Magica storylines to be very well-focused, no lies about it. Point is, I feel worried that Dragon Ball and DBZ lack Focused storylines at all and I can name Worlds and Galaxies that lack this issue even if they have other problems shared.
