Humanity is close enough to being a Type 1 civilization, exploration teams are sent to neighboring systems, passing the time of travel with their bodies in stasis and their minds uploaded into a near-perfect sim where their perception of time can be altered so the voyage feels akin to a 21st century plane flight rather than than the months or years they actually encompass, aboard anti-matter ships. The home planet itself is in advanced stages of re-wilding, extinct species such as tigers, dodos and pandas have been brought back. Economy has vastly changed, towards the end of the 21st a global currency replaced most national currencies ( though some regions clung to theirs for a few decades ), nowadays data dominates the economy due to matter replicators having become so widespread and relatively cheap, material value dropped to nothing, after gold isn't precious when you can get kilos of it at the press of a button. Because of this ressource scarcity has also ended, something which had gotten quite dire since the disparition of things like antimony and copper for exemple. The energy not being taken from the well underway dyson sphere around the sun in produced by anti-matter power plants (usually located on artificial islands), though some archaic fusion plants remain. There are (small) city-sized space stations and populations in underdome cities on Luna and Mars, getting rid of the domes is foreseeable within 2 to 3 centuries when terraforming is finished. The world population is roughly between 8 1/2 and 9 billions, though birth rate has declined, advances in biomedical gerontology and other somewhat related fields have decreased mortality rates in turn. Most cities are either fully automated or fully interconnected to control systems. There are now robots who are indistinguishable from humans, space elevators have been functional for little over a hundred years, earthquakes, tsunamis and other natural catastrophies can be controlled. Most humans are mind-linked to AIs and a significant portion of them are now more synthetic than biological, travel is now majorly done by hypersonic train, with railways stretching across oceans, law enforcement is done by androids, the ground is in great part reserved for nature and people travel with flying cars. We dress by having picobots form outfits around our bodies, or with advanced nanoclothes for the old fashioned. Homes are as fully automated as the cities, when someone enters the walls, ceilings and floors changed color, pattern and texture to fit their preferences, temperature and lighting adjust themselves, ambience music or sounds can be started depending on settings, if one is hungry they can send signals for what they want to eat using an implant in their brain and the home VI or AI will generate it with the matter replicator and have a "dumb" (non-VI/AI) robot bring it to them. There are micro MRI scanners and DNA sequencers. Other details include actors barely existing anymore because it's cheaper to make CGI movies and there's no difference between the 2 anymore, the web is now on version 4.0, internet speed average is in the PB/s range and all documents and information ever has been digitized and back up saved several times over. Oh and virtually all 21st century fiction is now public domain, exceptions being privately owned by either greedy jerks or avid fans. For exemple the megacorp S&A's lead of Research and Development owns several hundred licenses to manga and videogame series and sues anyone who uses them without authorization to near or complete bankruptcy.
There are no governments anymore, or at least no influencial ones. The veil has been lifted off from uber rich corrupt business men (and a few women) who controlled "democracy" from behind the scenes and the world is now controlled by global Mega Corporations. Though some of them, like S&A, more or less act as a government, in S&A's case it's a meritocracy. So in the regions they control those responsible for healthcare and such are the leading experts in medicine, and so on for other domains. Their rival corporation (who isn't named yet) work as an actual democracy, for the most part. They examine public demands and implement them if they are reviewed favorably. But they also do some secret dirt. More details will be below. Racism and sexism are all but gone, since people can get designer bodies of any sort (even animals or imaginated constructs, though those are heavily restricted and outright illegal, respectively )and transfer their consciousness into them. But there's always reasons for wars so those are still around. Battle is made with warbots, androids and sometimes convicts who are sentenced to have their minds uploaded into an artificial/clone body and die in battle repeatedly until their mind breaks. Though of course, where there's open war there's also covert operations, and those are done by supersoldiers. While one of them could be very effective as infantry, it would soon by taken out by artillery, air support or something else, so they are best reserved for more secretive tasks, much like elite forces of the past.

While "activated" he has the usual fight or flight benefits of adrenaline, his pain threshold increases dramatically, his stamina improves and he can get a second wind, and his strength mutliplies by about 3. His skeleton and muscle joint have been modded to alleviate the drawbacks of that increase.
-> Earl, codename CRUSHER. 130 years old, 7 feet 4, 290kg. Uses modern variants of the M60 light machine gun (akimbo). He has been grafted super hormones producing organs. He is tough enough to sustain sledgehammer blows to the abdomen and torso, has a high pain threshold and can dead lift a ton or so.
-> Samantha, codename BOOST. 124 years old, 5 feet 4, 48kg. Uses a modern variant of the MP5 submachine gun. Her brain has been modded to allow her conscious control of normally subconscious "failsafes" like muscle capacity usage and such. As with Johnny, affected parts of her anatomy have been reinforced to avoid damaging herself. She also has near perfect recall and very high IQ.
-> Jack Smith, codename CAPTAIN. 161 years old, 6 feet, 84kg. Uses a custom made S&A branded assault rifle. They stored his mind, remade his body with modded chromosomes and then put his mind in the new body. He is about 10 times stronger and tougher than the average unmodified human, has super reflexes that scrape bullet timing and given enough nutrients he can grow back large amounts of tissue.
-> Roland, codename TANK. 139 years old, 6 feet 5, 101kg outside of power armor, 9 feet, 576kg inside it. The armor, which blurs the line of mini-mecha, is equipped with small missile launchers, plasma cannons, concussive force projectors and 7,62mm AP chainguns. It artificially increases his strength with stimulants and multiplies his output by 20 fold so he can lift about 10 tons when in it. It is isolated from temperature extremes from -200 to 3000 degrees celcius. If the low temperature limit is trespassed he will still be protected but the armor will lose mobility and eventually be immobilized. If the high temperature limit is trespassed the outer shell starts to melt and he will die. It has inertial dampers to largely eliminate fall damage and blunt forces felt inside the armor so he isn't reduced to paste inside a mostly intact armor for instance. It is virtually impervious to small arms fire.
-> Helena, codename CYBER. 128 years old, 6 feet, 91kg. Uses custom made S&A branded AP submachine guns and a modern version of the M82 anti-material sniper rifle. She is a human mind loaded into a wholly cybernetic body. She is immune to radiation and temperature extremes , barring large enough amounts of heat to melt her. She also doesn't feel pain and has casual multi-ton strength. Also equipped with remote hacking devices.
-> Sarah, codename NANO. 122 years old, 5 feet 4, 44kg. Uses an S&A branded modern recreation of the SVD sniper rifle and modern variants of the MP5 submachine gun. She has nanites circulating throughout her body, making her immune to toxins and diseases (bio weapon ones, common ones have been eliminated long ago), repairs damage to her or her equipment, optimizes her body to peak fitness and fastens her brain activity. They can use them to turn off pain or stress if need be. She can also desconstruct objects and hack electronics she touches.
-> David Wade, codename FREAK. 134 years old, 6 feet 2, 88kg. Uses a S&A branded fully automatic 12,7mm assault rifle. He was genetically engineered to have 25 times better hearing, smell and sight, heal 50 times as fast, react in 20x less time and is roughly 15 times stronger than he was before treatment.
-> Timothy Samuels, codename BUTLER. 145 years old, 5 feet 7, 76kg. Uses a customized modern variant of the M1 Garand combat rifle and a belt-fed modern version of the MGL-140. He followed an injections based performance optimizer serum treatment. All of his physical and a couple of his mental functions now operate slightly above human peak potential.
-> William Johnson, codename BORG. 136 years old, 5 feet 11, 138kg. He had several section of hos body replaced with superior robotic prosthetics. His head augments give him telescopic and thermal vision and gives him access to a computer-like reality enhancing interface with multiple data feedbacks. His leg augments are superstrong and have anchoring capabilities. His arm augment (the right one) can deply side panels to serve as a shield and his strong enough to lift 5 tons. It is also outfitted with a machine gun and a mini-grenade launcher. His skeleton is also enhanced with the same alloy as his augments so he can use them to their full potential without hurting himself.
-> n/a, codename REX. 117 years old with occasional upgrades, 6 feet 8, 200kg. "He" is an android, all but impervious to non-heavy conventional weapons, has retractable blades in his fingers that he can use to climb sheer surfaces, small diseminated electromagnets to crawl on metallic surfaces or hold on to ferromagnetic things better, has echolocation, telescopic, thermal and x-ray 3000/20 vision. He is armed with modular integrated weapons, including a grenade launcher, a rocket launcher, various calibers of machine guns, a flamethrower, a precision rifle and various types of gas projectors. He possesses super human agility and multi-ton strength.
S&A also has it's more recent Project Valkyrie, which produced 3 viable (meaning those who didn't die) subjects with varying amount of success. And failure. Valkyries operate above standard military protocol and their orders are relayed directly to them by the orbital directory intelligence network, aka O.D.I.N.
Also all subjects are female at the request of the CEO because he "couldn't call them valkyries if they were guys".
-> Valkyrie #1, codename SIGRÙN/SIGGUNNR. 29 years old, 6 feet, 89kg. She went rogue and disappeared after finding out something but no one knows what it was. It is speculated that the tech used to make her wasn't S&A's since they haven't replicated her abilities in subsequent subjects. She was easily supersonic and casually could push tanks out of the way without apparent effort.
-> Valkyrie #2, codename LEVIATHAN. 24 years old, 5 feet 9, 78kg, She became psychotically insane after #1's disappearance and went rogue too and now "leads" a small group of black ops mercenaries. She uses the claws of her armor as weapons and is extremely fast, strong and tough. Her claws are hard and sharp enough to tear through tank armor. She is also endurant to injuries to such a degree that unless she is reduced to gory chunks it's most likely that she will survive any wounds inflicted upon her. She has rapid cellular regeneration and picobots circulating through her on top of it. Damaging her enough in short time frames will require the bots to operate above safe settings and the waste heat they generate will damage her body and more importantly her brain so she will become even more psychotic but also grow more feral and instinctual. After some down time however, the picobots will go back to safe operational margins and repair that damage.
-> Valkyrie #3, codename PHANTOM. 19 years old, 5 feet 10, 66kg. She is the only S&A controlled valkyrie left. Completely emotionless and 100% logical, thinks thousands of times faster than humans, able to move fast enough to generate trails of plasma behind her, stronger than industrial hydraulic presses, is very resistant to damage and heals nigh-instantly. Wields a high frequency nihonto-styled sword since it is faster for her to clear the gap between an enemy and kill it in melee than it would be for a bullet to reach it.

-> the zeroth experiment-ultrasoldier, codename ZEUS. 7 feet, 235kg. Made from a synthesis of organic and artificial cells, "he" can control his anatomy and produce heat or electrical current. He can become amorphous for infiltration purposes, augment the durability of his outer shell to protect himself for environmental dangers like fires, radiation or corrosive substances. He is nearly impervious to blunt trauma and has a high reforming ability if pierced or cut.
-> Kurokawa Junko, codename Ms.D347H. 5 feet 7, 108kg. Cybernetic replacements to an unknown but considerable degree, scientifically knowledgeable, expert hacker, master of both armed and unarmed CQC, uses several high tech gadgets, is seemingly immune to falls, extremely agile and acrobatic, can run and crawl on walls and ceilings, can run on water due to augments in her feet and lower legs, immune to all poisons and viruses, indefinite stamina, very high resistance to environmental extremes and hazards, either extremely high tolerance or insensibility to pain (indeterminable due to stoicism), accelerated tissue regeneration/nanotech cybernetic repair, expertmarks(wo)man, stealth expert, equipped with a grapple hook and and air pressure concentrators (to glide) to help further parkour abilities, augments in the limbs permit clinging to forcefields. She also wears a gas mask that can store filtered hazards and release them on enemies later. Furthermore the mask features spectrum filters for thermal and night vision.
-> assault, reconnaissance and exploration soldiers, codename program A.R.E.S. The process to create them is the most underhanded thing in the setting so far. First, they secretly release bio-augmenting retro-viruses in a populated (but not too prestigous, to maintain their good rep of "true democracy") region, then they observe the results and abduct the superior tiered viables (ie.the kids who didn't die, because yes, they release it on kids). If the viable result still has surviving relatives who weren't killed by the kid inadvertently passing the viruses to them the abductors kill them. They then wipe out their memories and begin the process. The details will be in the following description below, among the main character's capabilities since she is one of them.

5) her anatomy is decentralized, meaning center of mass injuries can be more or less ignored
6) her circulatory systems and organs have been optimized to extreme, near perfect efficacity.
7) her brain has also been decentralized, meaning she cannot be driven unconscious by blunt trauma and her head is now no more of a weak spot as any other part of her body. Cognition is unaffected by loss of tissue up to about 40%
8) due the density of the material in her skin, muscles and bones, alpha and beta radiation cannot enter her organism unless inhaled and gamma radiation enters but in too few amounts to be threatening. bots in her blood can easily repair the damage done by what few radiation poisoning can incur to her.
9) her heavily altered organism and highly modded blood grants her immunity to all diseases, viruses and toxins.
10) her stomach can digest most known materials and chemicals,etc and her anatomy can absorb nourishment from them. Of course if something contains little or no nutrients it won't work though
11) she can release enzymes from small glands in her mouth to make her spit corrosive
12) through her altered lungs, her organism can adapt to different atmospheres and breathe in them
13) her memories are store like computer files, this grants her 100% perfect recall but since her brain doesn't store data like ours do she forms no emotional links to other memories. You can remember things by what what they made you feel like and such, when UNIT06 remembers something it's just "this happened, commence playback".
14) she has nigh-instantaneous reaction time, her perceptions were even overdone such that if anything she could notice things she couldn't move fast enough to avoid and not the other way around.
15) due to her musculature being entirely artificial, it is perfectly efficient and while she cannot match their theoretical maximum output, in practice she is as strong as there is energy available to her muscles. Though she does have a "baseline" due additional organs (where her womb used to be) producing energy from various environmental inputs and piezo-electric systems weaved into her entire body. She is strong enough to stop an advancing tank and push it back. The armor includes a small reactor to supply the muscles, increasing this strength by a significant margin.
16) due to the nanofiber weave her skin is tough enough to stop most small arms fire from rupturing it and she can grab virtually any non-HF blade barehanded without being cut. Also bullets who do get through her skin will most likely be harmlessly stopped by the muscles underneath.

21) as you might have guessed her senses are also greatly improved. she can see clearly from very far way as if she was using binoculars and she can see a wider range of the spectrum than humans can and with her helmet she can filter through any configuration of the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Her taste is sensitive enough to perform chemical analysis. She can track things by smell even if they are miles aways or passed through the place weeks ago. She can hear farther and better than most if not all animals. She also has bio-electric sensors across her body to sense life-forms and movement around her like a shark, though it's much less effective in the air than in water.
22) her stamina is essentially limitless due to various factors caused by her vastly enhanced anatomy
23) since the super material has the property to absorb microvaves she is virtually invisible to radar. Though other kinds of detection exist in the setting.
24) she is capable of virtual telepathy with other ARES units due to a cybernetic implant she has conscious control over. So if it is hacked or otherwise compromised all the enemy could do is talk in her head or send images, and she could block out all input if she found it annoying.
25) she can consciously control her pigmentation. It's supposed to be for camouflage if a mission demands they go without armor but they mostly use it to change their hair and give themselves "tattoos".

I have 2 newly thought up major groups/organizations to be big players along with the Mega Corporations from above.
Voyna Nayemnik, who are an independant military research organization/PMC, basically a very big mercenary group who R&Ds it's own toys. Oh and they're russian if the name didn't tip you off. Nayemnik means Mercenaries and Voyna means War, though in this case it's better translated as "Voyna Mercenaries" since the group is headed by the Voyna family. They are sort-of traditionalists so their weapons and vehicules are designed to reminisce of old russian ones. Except of course that they're very much up to par with modern tech levels, so a good part of their things are advanced modern versions of old, preferebly iconic russian things. Better armor made from molecular-level engineered materials, engines several times more powerful and efficient, higher velocity and better, state-of-the-art ammo for support weapons like machine turrets of tanks and APCs and main cannons are now powerful railguns. The modern AK-47 is the AV-229, ie. automat voyna 2229, the SVD has a new name too but I haven't created it yet because SVD is an acronym so I need to learn some bits of russian to make an accurate sounding name. Their APC is called the Medved' and is modeled after the BTR-80, their helicopter is called the Uragah and is modeled after the Mil Mi-line, aka the Hind, their submarines are called Kit and are an original design that can sustain much higher pressures and carries a lot more firepower, their jets are VTOLs roughly modeled after the MiG-29 "Fulcrum" called Sobaka and they have 2 lines of tanks. The 1st is called the Molotok and is modeled after the T-90 and the 2nd one is an original design called the Nosorog which they refer to as a "breach" tank, it's made to plow through any kind of defenses, up to and including bunkers and it's *very* fast. They also have Spy Drones (with weapons in them, ofc) called Glaz. Elite, cybernetically and biologically augmented covert operatives *cough*assassins*cough* called the Koshka and the powered armor their mooks wear to batte is simply dubbed the Kostyum (as in, costume, suit). The 2 current heads are as follows:
-> Generalissimus Ivan Vladimirovich Voyna. Male. 57 years old, 6'5''/1m95, 241 lbs/109 kg, dark brown hair, blue eyes. He is cold, cruel and detached on the surface but he can be a fun man when in a good mood. He is a proficient marksman, a highly trained CQC fighter, has great pain tolerance and is super tough and super strong thanks to a combination of gene therapy, various "super serum" formulas and other biological augmentations.
-> Komandarm/Kommandir Valentina Ivanovna Voyna. Female. 26 years old, 6'2''/1m88, 167 lbs/76 kg, pale blond hair, faintly blue eyes. She shares her father's cold exterior, cranks his cruelty up a couple notches and his "can be fun" interior *down* a couple, though it's still there somewhere. She's an expert markswoman, a master knife fighter (and thus a knife nut),extremely proficient at hand-to-hand combat and like her father, is super strong and super tough, enough to walk away from anything that isn't horribly overkill for unaugmented humans pretty much unarmed, like say, ramming her through a few concrete walls with an APC. She has nanites circulating throughout her body, making her immune to toxins and diseases (bio weapon ones, common ones have been eliminated long ago), repairs damage to her or her equipment, optimizes her body to peak fitness and fastens her brain activity. They can use them to turn off pain or stress if need be. She can also desconstruct objects and hack electronics she touches.
-> David Wade, codename FREAK. 134 years old, 6 feet 2, 88kg. Uses a S&A branded fully automatic 12,7mm assault rifle. He was genetically engineered to have 25 times better hearing, smell and sight, heal 50 times as fast, react in 20x less time and is roughly 15 times stronger than he was before treatment.
-> Timothy Samuels, codename BUTLER. 145 years old, 5 feet 7, 76kg. Uses a customized modern variant of the M1 Garand combat rifle and a belt-fed modern version of the MGL-140. He followed an injections based performance optimizer serum treatment. All of his physical and a couple of his mental functions now operate slightly above human peak potential.
-> William Johnson, codename BORG. 136 years old, 5 feet 11, 138kg. He had several section of hos body replaced with superior robotic prosthetics. His head augments give him telescopic and thermal vision and gives him access to a computer-like reality enhancing interface with multiple data feedbacks. His leg augments are superstrong and have anchoring capabilities. His arm augment (the right one) can deply side panels to serve as a shield and his strong enough to lift 5 tons. It is also outfitted with a machine gun and a mini-grenade launcher. His skeleton is also enhanced with the same alloy as his augments so he can use them to their full potential without hurting himself.
-> n/a, codename REX. 117 years old with occasional upgrades, 6 feet 8, 200kg. "He" is an android, all but impervious to non-heavy conventional weapons, has retractable blades in his fingers that he can use to climb sheer surfaces, small diseminated electromagnets to crawl on metallic surfaces or hold on to ferromagnetic things better, has echolocation, telescopic, thermal and x-ray 3000/20 vision. He is armed with modular integrated weapons, including a grenade launcher, a rocket launcher, various calibers of machine guns, a flamethrower, a precision rifle and various types of gas projectors. He possesses super human agility and multi-ton strength.
S&A also has it's more recent Project Valkyrie, which produced 3 viable (meaning those who didn't die) subjects with varying amount of success. And failure. Valkyries operate above standard military protocol and their orders are relayed directly to them by the orbital directory intelligence network, aka O.D.I.N.
Also all subjects are female at the request of the CEO because he "couldn't call them valkyries if they were guys".
-> Valkyrie #1, codename SIGRÙN/SIGGUNNR. 29 years old, 6 feet, 89kg. She went rogue and disappeared after finding out something but no one knows what it was. It is speculated that the tech used to make her wasn't S&A's since they haven't replicated her abilities in subsequent subjects. She was easily supersonic and casually could push tanks out of the way without apparent effort.
-> Valkyrie #2, codename LEVIATHAN. 24 years old, 5 feet 9, 78kg, She became psychotically insane after #1's disappearance and went rogue too and now "leads" a small group of black ops mercenaries. She uses the claws of her armor as weapons and is extremely fast, strong and tough. Her claws are hard and sharp enough to tear through tank armor. She is also endurant to injuries to such a degree that unless she is reduced to gory chunks it's most likely that she will survive any wounds inflicted upon her. She has rapid cellular regeneration and picobots circulating through her on top of it. Damaging her enough in short time frames will require the bots to operate above safe settings and the waste heat they generate will damage her body and more importantly her brain so she will become even more psychotic but also grow more feral and instinctual. After some down time however, the picobots will go back to safe operational margins and repair that damage.
-> Valkyrie #3, codename PHANTOM. 19 years old, 5 feet 10, 66kg. She is the only S&A controlled valkyrie left. Completely emotionless and 100% logical, thinks thousands of times faster than humans, able to move fast enough to generate trails of plasma behind her, stronger than industrial hydraulic presses, is very resistant to damage and heals nigh-instantly. Wields a high frequency nihonto-styled sword since it is faster for her to clear the gap between an enemy and kill it in melee than it would be for a bullet to reach it.
Their rival corporation have the following:
-> the zeroth experiment-ultrasoldier, codename ZEUS. 7 feet, 235kg. Made from a synthesis of organic and artificial cells, "he" can control his anatomy and produce heat or electrical current. He can become amorphous for infiltration purposes, augment the durability of his outer shell to protect himself for environmental dangers like fires, radiation or corrosive substances. He is nearly impervious to blunt trauma and has a high reforming ability if pierced or cut.
-> Kurokawa Junko, codename Ms.D347H. 5 feet 7, 108kg. Cybernetic replacements to an unknown but considerable degree, scientifically knowledgeable, expert hacker, master of both armed and unarmed CQC, uses several high tech gadgets, is seemingly immune to falls, extremely agile and acrobatic, can run and crawl on walls and ceilings, can run on water due to augments in her feet and lower legs, immune to all poisons and viruses, indefinite stamina, very high resistance to environmental extremes and hazards, either extremely high tolerance or insensibility to pain (indeterminable due to stoicism), accelerated tissue regeneration/nanotech cybernetic repair, expertmarks(wo)man, stealth expert, equipped with a grapple hook and and air pressure concentrators (to glide) to help further parkour abilities, augments in the limbs permit clinging to forcefields. She also wears a gas mask that can store filtered hazards and release them on enemies later. Furthermore the mask features spectrum filters for thermal and night vision.
-> assault, reconnaissance and exploration soldiers, codename program A.R.E.S. The process to create them is the most underhanded thing in the setting so far. First, they secretly release bio-augmenting retro-viruses in a populated (but not too prestigous, to maintain their good rep of "true democracy") region, then they observe the results and abduct the superior tiered viables (ie.the kids who didn't die, because yes, they release it on kids). If the viable result still has surviving relatives who weren't killed by the kid inadvertently passing the viruses to them the abductors kill them. They then wipe out their memories and begin the process. The details will be in the following description below, among the main character's capabilities since she is one of them.
-> n/a, codename UNIT06. n/a y/o, 8 feet, 426kg outside (yet-unamed) armor, no stats for inside it so far, specs not finalized. This might be the most thought out and technical part so attempts to keep clearly structured will be made in stride.
1) they key for crucial and major parts of the process is an hyperdense and relatively (key word) lightweight super alloy/artificial material. It's about as
awesome in this setting as carbon nanotubes and graphene are to us today. It is fabricated using pico and femto engineering.
2) her skeleton was heavily altered, one might even argue slowly replaced, into a material very closely resembling the one mentioned in 1), this makes her
bones virtually indestructible. Some parts of it's very structure were also altered, most notably the skull and ribcage are now solid plates.
3) her muscles have been gradually replaced with nanofibers of the same material, which have a tensible strength of a couple dozen tons per square mm and a gigapascals hardness well into the thousands.
4) the same kind of nanofibers are weaved into her skin.
5) her anatomy is decentralized, meaning center of mass injuries can be more or less ignored
6) her circulatory systems and organs have been optimized to extreme, near perfect efficacity.
7) her brain has also been decentralized, meaning she cannot be driven unconscious by blunt trauma and her head is now no more of a weak spot as any other part of her body. Cognition is unaffected by loss of tissue up to about 40%
8) due the density of the material in her skin, muscles and bones, alpha and beta radiation cannot enter her organism unless inhaled and gamma radiation enters but in too few amounts to be threatening. bots in her blood can easily repair the damage done by what few radiation poisoning can incur to her.
9) her heavily altered organism and highly modded blood grants her immunity to all diseases, viruses and toxins.
10) her stomach can digest most known materials and chemicals,etc and her anatomy can absorb nourishment from them. Of course if something contains little or no nutrients it won't work though
11) she can release enzymes from small glands in her mouth to make her spit corrosive
12) through her altered lungs, her organism can adapt to different atmospheres and breathe in them
13) her memories are store like computer files, this grants her 100% perfect recall but since her brain doesn't store data like ours do she forms no emotional links to other memories. You can remember things by what what they made you feel like and such, when UNIT06 remembers something it's just "this happened, commence playback".
14) she has nigh-instantaneous reaction time, her perceptions were even overdone such that if anything she could notice things she couldn't move fast enough to avoid and not the other way around.
15) due to her musculature being entirely artificial, it is perfectly efficient and while she cannot match their theoretical maximum output, in practice she is as strong as there is energy available to her muscles. Though she does have a "baseline" due additional organs (where her womb used to be) producing energy from various environmental inputs and piezo-electric systems weaved into her entire body. She is strong enough to stop an advancing tank and push it back. The armor includes a small reactor to supply the muscles, increasing this strength by a significant margin.
16) due to the nanofiber weave her skin is tough enough to stop most small arms fire from rupturing it and she can grab virtually any non-HF blade barehanded without being cut. Also bullets who do get through her skin will most likely be harmlessly stopped by the muscles underneath.
17) she has rapid tissue regen for her organic parts and repair bots on various scales for the rest.
18) since has stopped aging when she reached adulthood.
19) her teeth are sharper than normal humans' and her canines are slightly elongated
20) since the process altering the brain heightens intellect and viable results are determined to be genetically superior, all ARES units are at least "gifted", UNIT06 has an IQ above 200 because she was a child prodigy before being abducted.
21) as you might have guessed her senses are also greatly improved. she can see clearly from very far way as if she was using binoculars and she can see a wider range of the spectrum than humans can and with her helmet she can filter through any configuration of the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Her taste is sensitive enough to perform chemical analysis. She can track things by smell even if they are miles aways or passed through the place weeks ago. She can hear farther and better than most if not all animals. She also has bio-electric sensors across her body to sense life-forms and movement around her like a shark, though it's much less effective in the air than in water.
22) her stamina is essentially limitless due to various factors caused by her vastly enhanced anatomy
23) since the super material has the property to absorb microvaves she is virtually invisible to radar. Though other kinds of detection exist in the setting.
24) she is capable of virtual telepathy with other ARES units due to a cybernetic implant she has conscious control over. So if it is hacked or otherwise compromised all the enemy could do is talk in her head or send images, and she could block out all input if she found it annoying.
25) she can consciously control her pigmentation. It's supposed to be for camouflage if a mission demands they go without armor but they mostly use it to change their hair and give themselves "tattoos".

I have 2 newly thought up major groups/organizations to be big players along with the Mega Corporations from above.
Voyna Nayemnik, who are an independant military research organization/PMC, basically a very big mercenary group who R&Ds it's own toys. Oh and they're russian if the name didn't tip you off. Nayemnik means Mercenaries and Voyna means War, though in this case it's better translated as "Voyna Mercenaries" since the group is headed by the Voyna family. They are sort-of traditionalists so their weapons and vehicules are designed to reminisce of old russian ones. Except of course that they're very much up to par with modern tech levels, so a good part of their things are advanced modern versions of old, preferebly iconic russian things. Better armor made from molecular-level engineered materials, engines several times more powerful and efficient, higher velocity and better, state-of-the-art ammo for support weapons like machine turrets of tanks and APCs and main cannons are now powerful railguns. The modern AK-47 is the AV-229, ie. automat voyna 2229, the SVD has a new name too but I haven't created it yet because SVD is an acronym so I need to learn some bits of russian to make an accurate sounding name. Their APC is called the Medved' and is modeled after the BTR-80, their helicopter is called the Uragah and is modeled after the Mil Mi-line, aka the Hind, their submarines are called Kit and are an original design that can sustain much higher pressures and carries a lot more firepower, their jets are VTOLs roughly modeled after the MiG-29 "Fulcrum" called Sobaka and they have 2 lines of tanks. The 1st is called the Molotok and is modeled after the T-90 and the 2nd one is an original design called the Nosorog which they refer to as a "breach" tank, it's made to plow through any kind of defenses, up to and including bunkers and it's *very* fast. They also have Spy Drones (with weapons in them, ofc) called Glaz. Elite, cybernetically and biologically augmented covert operatives *cough*assassins*cough* called the Koshka and the powered armor their mooks wear to batte is simply dubbed the Kostyum (as in, costume, suit). The 2 current heads are as follows:
-> Generalissimus Ivan Vladimirovich Voyna. Male. 57 years old, 6'5''/1m95, 241 lbs/109 kg, dark brown hair, blue eyes. He is cold, cruel and detached on the surface but he can be a fun man when in a good mood. He is a proficient marksman, a highly trained CQC fighter, has great pain tolerance and is super tough and super strong thanks to a combination of gene therapy, various "super serum" formulas and other biological augmentations.
-> Komandarm/Kommandir Valentina Ivanovna Voyna. Female. 26 years old, 6'2''/1m88, 167 lbs/76 kg, pale blond hair, faintly blue eyes. She shares her father's cold exterior, cranks his cruelty up a couple notches and his "can be fun" interior *down* a couple, though it's still there somewhere. She's an expert markswoman, a master knife fighter (and thus a knife nut),extremely proficient at hand-to-hand combat and like her father, is super strong and super tough, enough to walk away from anything that isn't horribly overkill for unaugmented humans pretty much unarmed, like say, ramming her through a few concrete walls with an APC. You'd bruise them and maybe get their head dizzy but they'd push it off themselves and keep coming. Excerpt of charming:

Genki Armements & Entreprises Moreau, both of which are "fronts"/filials of La Horde. They're obscenely wealthy enough to count amongst the world leading organizations but all they really do is "party" and make/do ridiculous things for fun. They don't take sides in wars unless provoked but when they do they're surprisingly dangerous because their odd weapons, vehicules and gear are deceptively effective. Beware the silly ones. Or more so, beware *the* Silly One :
-> Madeleine Queenie Moreau, aka Mad Queen, Maleficent, La Louve (the she-wolf) or simply The Crazy. Female, obviously. 274 years old, 6'4''/1m93, 201 lbs/91 kg, black hair, pale blue eyes. She has an extreme blue and orange sense of morality, loves destruction and chaos, has a crazy awesome persona and is basically completely batshit insane. Don't mistake dubious mental stability for dubious intellect though, this is the person who manages to maintain authority over a considerable part of the world, dump shitloads of credit into ludicrous R&D, party literally like a mad (wo)man nigh-constantly and still have all resources balance out. She's also a master of everything that has to do even vaguely with causing mayhem, destruction or killing things and strange enhancements that allow her to absorb and and project energy on top of being exceedingly physically powerful.
