Rosario + Vampire, brought to us by Akihisa Ikeda! A Ridiculously Average Guy Co-Exists with an Unwanted Harem of Cute Monster girls!Where do we begin? Should we talk about how the laconics would be understating a few things, or is it best to get started on how after the first two Manga Volumes in the First Season gets dealt with that the Art gets radically better? Or even how there's actually a lot of underlying story-lines, plotlines, and plot twists most foul? I'll just say that this 'Harem Manga series' is actually really different from your typical Harem series in many respects and leave it at that. We got Vampires, Werewolves, Succubi and Witches running on the loose, that's not getting to all the Supernatural Power being tossed around either. Anybody else read on the Shonen Jump Advanced Manga series? If so, where do we start in conversations regarding the series, both pertaining to its world and in general OOC discussions? (spoilers for digressions) Some Fun facts: The lady who voices Hinata Hyuga/Hyuuga from the Naruto universe voices Moka in the Drama CDs and the Anime(Japanese language audio), the Anime being to the Manga what the Dresden Files TV Show is to The Dresden Files novels by Jim 'The Great' Butcher in a way, but I digress. Alexis Tipton and Collen Clinkenbeard also voice Moka Akashiya in the dubs(of the Anime at least, read the above notice), latter can be recognized as the voice for Erza Scarlet from Fairy Tail, an entirely different Anime series which needs its own thread later.
I'll probably get to the voices of the dubs(of the anime at least) later, either as the thread goes on or some other thread. Attachments:

Hey, Im looking to expand my entertainment experience into anime/manga; however, I am trying to avoid shows like DBZ and Naruto in favor of things that are less main stream. With so many choices out their I would like to know if you had a recommendation on where to start. To get an idea of what I am looking for, I want to find something with a good balance of action, humor, suspense, story, character things like that. So, can you help me?

Rosario + Vampire is one of the places to look. ^_^ Elsewhere in matters that need their own threads, the Madoka Magica spin-off manga series could also use a suggestion. The Pokemon Manga-verse also seems promising. Since this is an R+V thread in particular, let's see where we can begin in that series, fair enough?

Ok, Fair enough. I know I'd enjoy anime/manga because It looks extremely interesting;however, like I said, their is so much of it out there that to pick from it was hard to find a starting point. Any ways, like you said, let's see where we can begin.

If you like, you can check out the first five volumes of Season 01 of the Manga at the Local Libraries, buy the copies at the stores or go to batoto.com actually.

You are interesting to hear about, indeed. I've always watched a little anime here and there, none of the big stuff like Fairy Tale, Dragon Ball Z, and such. But recently I have been looking into manga and anime allot more in my free time when I am not gaming. Its a good way to relax and have a laugh. I am interested in Harems, Slices of Life, and some action. It really depends. But I am mostly a laid back watcher, I don't enjoy anything too crazy. I started WATCHING, yes not reading Rosario on Netflix, I thought it was alright. Very backwards slow moving and you could always be sure of the plot. It was VERY predictable. I thought it was quite alright no matter what people said. But whenever I read the manga oh. Then I realized how cheated I was from the anime. A whole part of the story undermined in the anime that I fell in love with and now read like a tycoon when a new chapter comes out. I sped read up to about Season II Chapter 64 in 4 days to get caught up. I probably started reading it in June.

Season One of The Anime itself feels reasonable for the most part, Season Two doesn't feel so reasonable. I really need to get back on reading R+V at some point, R+V could use some fights on-site if I gotta be honest.

//To clean up the chain.
If you haven't started season II of the manga I strongly recommend it.
Action is around every corner. Might I ask what chapter you are on?

It is a hard show to get used to but when you get hooked on the plot. God you will love it.

I'd recommend the hell out of the following universe to you to go look up: The dot hack(.hack) universe, anyone? If not that, what about Madoka Magica in general? @transcendence How have you been?
