 Clash of titans here today, the New Hyperion vs the New Superman. One has caught flying planets and held an earth in each hand, the other has benched the weight of the earth. These mighty beings are too strong to have combat on earth so they'll be fighting instead on, Apokalips (thus trolling Darkseid too but he's not allowed to intervene nor is anyone). Only one of these warriors will leave here today, will it be the man who lost his universe, or the man who lots his planet. |

Lowkwell I think their about equal in...everything with Supes having a slight speed edge Hypes having a slight strength edge. And hopefully Darkseid has insurance.

Both use light as a weapon and energy/substance source. Basically whats going to happen between the two till one or both X ray each other when they realize neither of them appears to be tiring   and in Hyperion's case he is somewhat made of it so close proximity might actually charging supes  Though Supes might be able to get away using some other form of radiation like gamma but I don't think it pack that much of a punch. Either way They probably end up taking the fight to a nearby sun where they end up fighting and rejuvenating till the either dies of old age or the sun explodes possibly K.O.ing or killing either or both. |

Wouldn't they eventually just..absorb the entire sun and become omnipotents like Superman Prime 1million...thus causing an infinite stand off while a now Elderly Darkseid tells them to kill each other and shakes his cane? Then tells them to get off his space lawn, in space?
And is he saying he's made of light or that his mind works at lightspeed? I..can't really tell I may be very misinterpreting either way.

While I have no doubt even that version could bring down a mountain one fingered I feel like if it was any other character without already founded feats that would be called hyperbole I know it's not here I just felt like commenting. Hell I bet he wouldn't need the boost.
So we finally saw N52 Doomsday then?
I think Bat's was always like the darker more cynical brother who had a rough life after mom and dad divorvced and Clark was the older wiser but more idealistic brother. That's how I always saw it.
I actually found a calc for Hyperion's planetary baseball feat, low end with the momentum assuming he only slowed it down by 2% and that the planet was 1/1000 the size of Earth he actually had the equivalent of five Earth's in his hands, this was a Comicvine feat mind, plus that doesn't translate necessarily to striking strength but still an impressive feat of strength.
I've been wondering what would happen if this Hyperion had ended up on DC Earth N52, would he have become a mentor to N52 Supes, how would he and Supes interact plus how would it affect DC.

Darkseid will be lucky if he has a space lawn left... in space. Only way I see this fight ending within a shorter time frame then forever is if one gives up(there body may heal but the will to go on mmight be another thing). Or if supes manages to Keep Hyperion out of the sun for long. Supes only feel advatange he has over Hyperion right now is that he has a feat of his strength lasting over an extended period of time and stress without sunlight. Not really sure. The gist of what I got was that his mind is some form of light array and that he doesn't forget. Does Hype lose power if he is out of the sun? For that matter could he pull that off? Seems like it'd be hard to keep him underground long enough to lose his juice. Is Hype faster too? I figured Supes had a speed edge.
Wraith..sounds familiarish.
What was N52 Doomsday like?
Also trying to think of a match for these two as a tag team, any suggestions?

Yeah, DD gave Supes a good punch but they haven't gotten into a fight yet. Put the hurt on Diana though. First up is Zod and Faora vs Supes and Diana which seems like it's going to lead to the Doomsday fight. Possibly with All four against him. Probably some what like the aforementioned Wraith minus the military connection. Sort of like a part mentor/part rival/part friend since while they share many similarities and Hyperion is probably a bit older, I don't recall if Hyperion has any big restriction against lethal action which could lead to some conflict. |

Planetary level strength isn't that much compared to the universe, even if it's multiple planets.
Also, supes gets energy from yellow sun radiation, not any sort of light, is Hyperion different or is it restricted to a certain wave frequency too ?

Interesting, couples dual there, which is part of what's cool with Diana and Supes being an item. How's DD look? Did he get revamped
Well he played badcop for Thor..but that was with AIM, I think it depends on the degree of foe, someone whose like Zod or DD level he'd probably be willing to go lethal on more quickly than Supes but that might be more due to him understanding the threat them clashing with him and Supes could pose. I think he'd be similar to if Supes was more like Diana but still a good old boy, willing to cross that line if it's necessary but otherwise he won't. He probably would have given Darkseid a surprise at first.

well Hyperion said light when he was talking to Thor, but also said that it was a good thing the Ozone was thinner here because it meant more sun got through so...I'm not 100% sure.

Yeah, that how AIM was able to hold him before the avengers rescued him. Though they did grab him after the holding planets feat so he probably need to go a bit while being pushed hard to get him back to that point. So still resulting in a prolonged fight. Wraith I think is a new52... I think. Right now he's a appears to be a mindless monster. His first appearance was a lot more violent then I expected It'd be i.imgur.com/rRD6DkK.pngRipped people in half and Nearly killed wonder woman and broke both her arms. Hyperion and Supes... I'd say Blue Marvel for one. For someone else, Gladiator maybe; or maybe a universe fight. Might have to resort to something anime. |
