Digimon
VS
Pokemon
This battle will pit two of the most recognized franchises in the world against each other in a merciless battle to see who will reign supreme. ======= -Both sides will be using all people and creatures strictly from their respective T.V. Series (no Manga, novels, or game renditions allowed) = -Both sides are Composite , so they have access to all main/supporting cast from every T.V. incarnation. = -Battle takes place in a huge stadium on an Island off the cost of Japan. = -Evolution is allowed for Pokemon = -Digivolving is allowed for Digimon = -Death blows are allowed = -No god/universal destroyer/omniscient monsters for either side = -Human companion/ trainers can not be harmed = -There is a force field preventing the combatants from getting knocked out of the stadium, Said force field also prevents flyers from going higher than Two hundred and eighty feet in the air. In addition the force fields keep all radius attack/explosive damage confined to the stadium.
Which side wins this power struggle.

On the one hand, digimons always seemed a bit more powerful overall but I can't remember a feat to top Mewtwo teleporting a huge lake plus the surrounding land and some forest inside a mountain. I'd still take for digimons though.

That's a mouthful there. @knight Its acceptable to place it here, now we gotta gauge which Televised Digimon universe would be best-suited for a fight like this, while also going to recall which Pokemon seasons would be most powerful, really.

Even if we don't use the Adventures timeline, this image is pretty dang epic right there. You may wanna contact the CosmicBehemoth(the Master Sarge of the site) and see if he'd be interested if you ask him.

Yeah, I wanted to have an area to discuss matches before getting suggested, which is what this area is, great for figuring out if the set ups etc are good.

I just have a question actually, what is the cap on the omnipotents/universal destroyer types, or rather where does it start....granted I can't think of any universe busting Pokemon off the top of my head...

Arceus maybe ? It's supposed to be basically god. I'd imagine Dialga and Palkia, being physical manifestations of Time and Space respectively should be able to wreck some shit cosmic wise. In the fluff anyway, cause in game you can put natural gods, primordial beasts and eldritch abominations in little balls np.

I was thinking it the cap would be set for those, and I've herd of a few for both sides, who can wipe out universes/ will others from existence. Planet busting levels are still around because the force field will keep all damage contained to the arena floor of the stadium; however, I figured that beings capable of busting the universe/ willing others from existence/ being omniscient and knowing all the moves 5 years in advanced, should not participate. This will allow people to actually look all the available combatants rather than just saying "Godmon life wipes all enemies from existence", I mean where is the fun in using that argument?

Well, Mewtwo did bust an entire island after breaking out of the lab and can create storms with a wave of his hand. He's pretty badass.

So no legendaries or yes legendaries? And on Digimon...I want to ask...how are we dealing with the fact there are 4 seperate Anime continuities? Are we assuming a combined composite for them or what?

If the legendaries can wipe life from the universe, no. If they can crack a planet, yes. Think of it as encouraging the use of powerfull creatures but not allowing the "Stupidly insane, uber curb stomp, level " creatures to participate.
As to the 4 separate anime continuities......If we can not decide on which is more powerful then both sides are composite. sounds fair no? If composite all other rules still apply.
