Ben decided to take a quick stop to the tents with the healers and looked for Liliana. He found her passed out and decided to leave a quick scrap of paper with the name of the Silverson's Tavern and his name to tell her where he went in case she was curious. But before he went to his favorite tavern...he pumped his fist in the air and eagerly headed towards the city. For it was time to truly enjoy this victory...starting with a bath and then to the tavern for a fine drink after all the prince probably had a banquet all set up for them.

The prince held a flaggon of drink high. "Men, you have fought well for the kingdom of Lebrinth". He shouted to the den. A riotous uproar filled the place as the prince praised his men. "Now I know I might have made some promises...". He leads with a smile, gesturing as if he hoped they forgot. The men bellowed with laughter and approval.
"Now you all will be paid handsomely but I regret to say it won't the sort of coin to make the Ravenreach lasses quiver". The men sort of groaned and whined. Prince garrett waved his hand regretfully before flashing a devilish smile.
"So I brought them to you"! With the announcement dozens of the most gorgeous women flutter through the tavern. The men erupted in excitement and joy. They chant the princes name in their joyous din.
Taking his leave to a quieter back room he slouched into his seat exhausted. "Shouldn't move, still hurt". A voice beside him said. Prince Garrett chuckles and takes a swing of his drink. "It'd accept that from anyone else". Vokun sat in the corner, covered in bandages & gauze. "Hmph, stupid storm eye". Vokun huffed. Prince Garrett laughed hard enough to make his ribs hurt again. "Storm eye...I like it". The two continued their quiet banter as they listened to the muffled din of the tavern.

Ben hummed with happiness as he walked the streets at a relaxed pace, keeping to the backways to avoid the fanfare that the rest of the soldiers were getting as they roamed the streets. Once he managed to sneak past the crowds attention he entered Silverson Tavern and spotting Galen sitting at a table. He took it to himself to take a seat at the table and relaxing into the seat as he beckoned a barmaid over for a mug. As his drink arrived he smiled with amusement "You seem to be in a much better mood then I last saw you."

Galen
"Why wouldn't I be!" He said taking a gulp from his tankard, "We just cut a bloody swath through those damned monsters and didn't die."
He waved the barmaid down for another round, passing a second mug to Ben, "besides, drinks are free today and I'm just getting warmed up."

Ben's smile became playful "Ehehe you're just like a giddy kid who was told he could have a hill of sweets." He took a swig from his first mug and just appeared amused at the sheer excitement going on around him. "So then...when do you expect dear old Princey on ruining our parade with an even more dangerous mission."

Galen
"Don't know," Galen said, slamming another one down, "and at the moment I don't really care."
He raised his mug into the air, "To not being dead!" He shouted getting a cheer from the handful of patrons in the bar.

Ben smiled at the happy people around him and chuckled to himself at the whole hilarity about the situation. Possibly not even three hours earlier it was almost certain these people were cowering in their homes at the thought of the Shadow Army coming to end their lives. He shrugged his shoulders at the celebrations and just quietly sipped at his second mug. The first one at last empty as Galen downed his fourth.

After losing count for what felt like the dozenth time, Liliana started to feel like she was starting to be able to move again. Flexing her hands and feet every so often to feel how badly the pain was. It was diminishing slowly because of the magic and the herbal medicine combined together, now only a dull ache that lingered for a little while. Slowly, surely, she rose from her cot with a deep breath as she gritted through the pain. By her bedside she noticed a slip of paper that was left for her, tilting her head curiously she couldn't help but smile as she read over the note. It was nice that Ben was thinking of her even after the battle...
Maybe it was time to join them.
Making sure she had all of her belongings on her, she pulled her backpack over one shoulder with a wince. For trying to get better, this was not what she should have been doing. But she wanted to go so badly, it would be so nice to see people there...
After asking for a walking stick, she finally found the strength to get onto her feet and walk her way out of the castle grounds. Wandering out amongst the town only to see how eerily empty it felt. So few people were out and about, many had been hiding in their homes, windows and doors locked and boarded up. A few wandered the streets, but very few stayed for very long in plain sight. It took her calling over to one to get some quick directions that she was able to get to her destination. And while the streets and homes outside felt dreary and empty for a little while, she could hear the sounds of singing and merriment coming from the next street over it seemed. Soldiers with their fanfare, women going to hug their loved ones that survived the battle and from seemingly hollow victory the people rejoiced here and there as she passed by the streets. But from hollow victory fanfare, a lighter tune caught her ear from inside the Silversons tavern that was surprisingly still open even after this great battle had occurred. She hobbled over to the doorway, her ears picking up the acute tones of song from drunk and merry women and men. Their voices cracking and tones off, but still it sounded like happiness. And she couldn't complain about that.
Pushing open the door and stepping inside, the amber haired, one eye'd girl suddenly felt so exposed and center of attention as a few dozen faces turned to greet her with flagons raised and smiles all around. While used to being the center of attention, as it comes with the job of a bard, she suddenly felt nervous and gave the best smile she could back and a small wave. This was far different than putting on a show, it was the congratulations of surviving the heat of battle and the gratefulness of saving their precious homestead.
Liliana couldn't help but feel a bit warm and fuzzy on the inside...
She scanned the room with her one good eye, and quickly she found her friend Ben and that mercenary Galen. Both of them seemed a few drinks deep already, and feeling a bit of bounce to her step she made her way over despite her muscles complaints at her.
"Sorry I'm late for the party!" She said with a smile, scooting herself into a seat quickly amongst the two and dropping the load off her shoulders. She flicked the brim of her hat up so that she could make good eye contact with them, "I was a bit, uh, tired after that. I had to take a little nap. and I may be tired still, but that doesn't mean I cant have some fun!"
As the barmaid dropped by with drinks for Galen and Ben, she quickly got herself on too. She asked if they had any of those spiced drinks that she liked so much and fist pumped when she said they had some of that left and the lovely maiden sauntered away to grab some.
"I cant believe we did that..." said Liliana softly, glancing down at the wooden table and tracing the markings on it with her eyes, "it seemed to impossible but, we did it. We won..."
Her drink came quickly, and Lili took a couple of sips from the overflowing glass to get a feel for it. Tasted like home...

Galen
Galen's smile seemed to get even wider as the bard joined them, "glad to see you up and about!" He downed what could have been his sixth tankard and looked over to Ben, "your friend is really something you know? Had a kid barely old enough to grow his first chest hair telling everyone about how he was saved by a dancing sword."
As the barmaid returned with Liliana's drink Galen had her fill two more tankards, sliding one to Lili, "when your done with....whatever that is, try this. It's my personal favorite.
Across the way, tension seemed to be growing between two other patrons. The men had been talking quietly but as they drank their words turned to shouts and angry glares. The whole mood in the Tavern began to shift as they carried on.
Galen couldn't take it anymore, wordlessly he stood, snatching up another mug as he walked over to the men who were now on their feet and were about to come to blows.
"Hold up there!" He said, the two looking at him with confused, angry looks,"what seems to be the trouble?"
"None of yu-" one started before getting cut off by the other one.
"This bastards holding out on me!" The second man jabbed a crooked finger at his associate, "he does me t-"
"It doesn't matter right now." Galen said, a large grin on his face. "Now is not the time to worry about mundane affairs," he called for a couple rounds for the two men as he noticed the bar going quiet, all eyes were on him. "Now is the time to celebrate LIFE! Save this argument for another time."
"And why should we listen to you?" The first man asked as the two excepted their drinks. Galen pointed to himself and his table with Ben and Liliana.
"Because the three of us survived that little commotion outside your walls, he walked back to his table before turning and propping against it, "if not for us you'd have been killed before daylight in a dozen different ways."
"The three of you?" The second man chuckled slightly, "you three don't look like soldiers, especially her, what are you some kind of merc band?"
"That's right!" Galen laughed heartily downing another round and filling his tankard from the flagon on the table,"We are the Ragnarok Company," he paused,"well, the fun half anyway. Now drink up!"
A short cheer rose from the crowd as the two men looked at eachother and shrugged, downing their mugs. Galen, still standing, raised his tankard into the air. "It's time to lighten the mood, you should know this one Ben."
With a quick sip of rum he inhaled, then began to sing just a little off key. The patrons around him joining in as the first few lines were sung, it was a tune they new well.
"Some men fight for honor! Some men fight for fame! Others fight for kingdoms ,country ,house ,and name! But who do they come crawlin to when the jobs to tough?! They come to those who raise a blade once we're paid enough!"
Ohhhhh, Raise um up! Tankards high! For tomorrow we may die! But till then, wear a grin! Downing whisky, rum, and gin! Come on lads drop a card! Toss your last copper to the bard! Bed a wench, it's ok! Tomorrow we'll be getting paid!
Let the knights kneel to the crown! Tonight we burn this tavern down! When the job is done we'll come again! Barkeep another round for the men!
Now we're not heros heaped with praise! Nor do we bow as banners wave! A band a cutthroats we might be! We're more than friends, we're family! We'll see our contracts till the end! Then we'll have more gold to spend!
Ohhhhh, Raise um up! Tankards high! For tomorrow we may die! But till then, wear a grin! Downing whisky, rum, and gin! Come on lads drop a card! Toss your last copper to the bard! Bed a wench, it's ok! Tomorrow we'll be getting paid!"
By the time Galen finished the mood was higher than it had been when he arrived, the patrons laughed and cheered, other groups breaking into songs of their own as he took his seat again and quenched his parched throat, tossing the empty mug in the table and shouting out, "another!"
"Speaking of music," Galen said as he sipped from a fresh tankard, turning to Lili, "You got any melodies thought up from last noght?"

Vokun
Vokun set his drink down with a somber expression. "How bad"? He asks. The prince drunkenly laughs. "What are you saying boy, in perfectly fine"! Vokun stared daggers into the man.
The prince dropped the facade with a sigh. "My eye appears to see things at a different time than normal". "Having it open too long makes it feel like lighting is bolting through it".
He takes a hesitant swig. "Moreso, I've noticed involuntary shakes and spasms". Vokun had long since noticed the movements however was impressed with how well he was holding it together. "You need sealing". Vokun said.
"The Daemonium Insulae"? Garrett asked. "I couldn't make that trip without being labeled something profane". Vokun frowned. "Bring Ragnarok, make mission". The Princes mulled on that as he took another drink. "For what though"? "The Demon isles have a reputaion".
Vokun shuffled in his seat, getting more comfortable before slouching deeply. "Lie, say army there, need make ally". He said with a yawn. "You die if not go". Garrett looked at the boy from the corner of his eye. He was already fast asleep.
Garrett mulled over the conversation he had with with Vokun. Settling on it he summoned a guard to the room & intructed him to alert the guards & have them being his Company to him.

Ben smiled at Galen’s praise of Liliana “Ah indeed quite an amazing power for an amazing young lady. I see a lot of suitors coming your way in the future.” He wiggled his eyebrows at Liliana with what he was saying. “Think about it ‘Liliana Capri, The Blade Siren’ I think that’d be quite the title dontcha think?”

Liliana practically beamed as Galen told her how she had saved a young boy in that fight, sitting up as straight as she could possibly be and a big crooked smile on her lips. She could hardly believe it really, how happy he seemed and... well, how drunk he was. It made her giggle as he shoved her one of his own drinks and she went ahead and set it to the side for now so she could enjoy her drink first. She knew her limit but... maybe letting loose wouldn't hurt.
As the song began she recognized it from old bar songs she had heard from elsewhere. Tapping her foot and knocking the table along with the rhythm, swaying with the beat and humming along with the tune itself. Feeling already a bit giddy as she finished her drink and went to take a sip of his. It made her cough a bit at the new, strange taste, but not wanting to be rude she downed a gulp of it before shuddering and giving a slightly weaker smile as she tried to recover from that hearty drink.
"B-Ben!" She whined as her cheeks flushed with embarrassment taking a balled fist and punching him in the shoulder a few times to get him to stop teasing. Small as she was, it didn't hurt too badly. The best she could do was just pout at him as he had that dumb little smug face of his... But it was his next words that made her perk up a bit.
"The Blade Siren..." Murmured Liliana in a soft voice, looking back to her cup of Galen's chosen brew and smiling a bit. Never had she thought about that before and now when it was told to her it felt so right and fit like a glove. How could she deny that she loved it wholeheartedly? Repeating the title to herself underneath her breath over and over to get a feel for it. That name could really catch on, and she would be the first of her family to be renowned. "I like that... rolls off the tongue, thanks Ben!" She added, tipping her hat to him and flashing her pearly whites in a toothy grin.
The entire bar had gotten into the song, and with it finishing there was a resounding cheer as the entire tavern seemed to take a drink in sync and began to babble amongst themselves again and Galen quickly put her on the spot. A red faced Liliana seemed to go rigid as he asked her about any songs she could sing. "O-Oh! now? Uh, Yeah I think I have a few I could sing!" She said, reaching into her backpack and pulling out her little Lute. Brushing away any of the dirt and dust that had gathered on it since she had been knocked out and setting it into her lap, giving it a few testing strums to see how it sounded. Her sensitive ears quickly picked up that one string was out of tune and quickly adjusted it to her liking before leaning back into her chair until she was only on the back two legs and began to strum a upbeat, but somehow melancholy song.
"For the fallen, may we remember them always..."
"Brave little boy, so young and spry, adventure and glory call to your name, follow the road to destiny, but always remember... Remember your home, Remember your home.
Brave young man, with fire beating in his heart sing and dance and chase those dreams follow the road to destiny, but always remember... Remember your home, Remember your home.
Brave old man, dripping with satisfaction, take your seat, you've fought well Follow the road to freedom, but now it is time... time to come home, time to come home."

Galen
Though the song Liliana sung was low, the music seemed to carry over the crowd. A hush fell over the drunken rabble as she sang low and slow. Galen's hands trembled as he took a swig, his mind was suddenly far away. 'Fen....' Galen downed his tankard and started on another. He was so lost in the past that he almost didn't notice her song had ended with barely a dry eye in the room.
"That was..." He began as the door swong open and a couple of soldiers strode in, pointing at the three of them.
"The prince requests that Ragnarok Company report to the keep at once." One of them barked.
"Time's up." Galen muttered as he stood with a slight wobble, his eyes slightly watered. He raised his last tankard hi into the air. "*Aritak nos vallin kal dorn!" It was the only dwarven he knew. He downed the drink and tossed the empty mug aside, turning to head towards the door.

Ben shrugged his shoulders at that before he finished his drink, and placed the empty mug on the table. He patted Liliana's shoulder with a hearty few claps "Come oh 'Blade Siren' we should get moving before this old-geezer falls into a drunken stupor on some poor sods porch." He made emphasis on this by leaning dangerously close to falling over several people.

When she finished her song she let out a long sigh and still smiled as she picked her head up and looked around the place. The sudden hush hit her and her cheeks flushed a deep red as the entire place seemed to have their eyes on her and some soft sniffling was going on. She hadn't known it would hit everyone so hard, she almost wanted to apologize to everyone and start up a new song before suddenly the doors crashed open and shattered the gentle silence with their presence. The people because to murmur amongst themselves, and Galen was already on his way out before Liliana could even think about getting her things together. Grabbing her walking stick she got up and dropped a handful of coins on the table for her drink.
"Yeah we sh- BEN!" She cried out, coming over to him quickly with a spike of pain before trying her best to keep him upright and not ruining those people's drinks. "Ben you no good... lazy butt! I'm not going to hold you up the entire way!" She complained as her tired body cried at her for putting them through such stress. Waddling out with Ben in tow, they left behind the sullen people of Silversons tavern and out into the daylight.
