Yes and No about the kryptonite thing. The sword itself is nothing really special. But using a sword in a Hive dimension is special, because the rules of their plane of reality are based on the Sword Logic.
"Let me tell you about the power in the logic of the sword:
A Shredder or a Boomer is a powerful weapon, but it kills acyclically. You see? It sends out harm and it takes nothing back. The bolt passes away into nothing. A sword, though, a sword is like a bridge, a crossing-point. The sword binds wielder to victim. It binds life to death. And when the binding is done—the sword remembers. When the Boomer's fire has burnt away into axion and neutrino scatter, the sword goes on, hungrier and sharper.
Understand that this nightmare logic underpins His nightmare world, and you will see why the ascendant blade has so much power there. Whenever in our passage we find ourselves in need of power—remember that the greatest authority here is a blade made keen by eons of use.
This is the world the Hive craves: a universe creased by the edge of the sharpest sword"
This ^ is why in the raid the sword can hurt Crota pretty bad and eventually kill him, while even the most powerful guns or magical powers Guardians have can only strip his shield at best. He's invulnerable because his death was separated from him but he can be defeated by turning his own magic against him. But it's still not an automatic win button, you still have to win a sword fight with a god. Also yes it was him personally that made the Hive win the moon, humanity was winning before he showed up.
Oryx, tbf, is fought in purely physical form in the normal, material universe, so he didn't have all of his god-like powers. But he still had the explicit power to be invincible to anything he can "conquer", meaning you can't just outskill or outspeed or outsmart him with a clever plan, you have to be be a match for him in sheer power or you can't so much as scratch him. As for how powerful that form is, the Cabal (a space-faring empire of half-ton supersoldiers) are so scared of him personally that they have a saying "Death comes on Wings" based on him, the 1st mission of his expansion shows him making one of their bases his complete bitch (though not by fighting them physically, by turning most of them into his mind-slaves) and he one-shotted a fleet with a weapon powered by his soul, which leaves this as an after-effect: planetdestiny.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/saturn-dreadnaught-court-of-oryx.png
Tbh though, it could be a Guardian, but not *the* Guardian (and/or xir fireteam) since they clearly have wildly varying power levels.
On DA, I'm saying Shayle is not allowed in a duel because, duh, she's a rock golem, a normal knight would be crushed instantly. but she's not stronger than the Warden. The dwarves have an actually law that no one goes into the Deep Roads (huge underground tunnels filled with Darkspawn) unless they bring a full company of elite warriors or one Grey Warden, and that's for any regular grey warden, the PC Warden is recognized in the lore as matching a corrupted Old God (the Archdemon) on equal footing, like a god fighting another god. The killing 10 bandits with one spell thing would be fine for this match, but that feat is for wynne, who is literally a fraction of a fraction of the Warden's power.
