Hmm, your tactics are sound. I try. Most of the time is mostly waiting for them to blunder and then exploiting it. The AI really tries to do a good job, but it just can't most of the time. The calvary attempted a valiant attack but your troops were too entrenched. It would have been wiser to assault your front with infantry while artillery shells your position then use the calvary to attempt a flanking maneuver. Of course…the enemy combatants would have to actually be an army.

The next update is gonna take a lot longer. Three nations declared war on me in a row - Four nations are sending armies at me and my back is to the sea. I'll update when I get myself out of this, lose or at least stabilize the situation.

Austria, Poland, Bavaria and Courland. I got the situation normalized... sorta. Sorta doesn't inspire confidence though it's good to hear that you pulled an Israel. What was the cost of survival? Thousands dead on both sides. 10,000 enemy KIA so far (the biggest an army can be is usually 1,200 to 1,500). I beat off an invasion force heading into the homelands and forced Poland and Bavaria to sue for peace. Working on the Austrians right now. Poland is gonna break the treaty any minute. Sweden is marshaling it forces in the North. All things considered - could be worse.

Sorry for the stoppage, my previous save crashed and I had to rush to get a new one up. Got about three posts of content waiting to get posted.
In other news, I have Fraps, and I didn't even know it. Considering just making videos.

Redo!
Thanks to me not actually playing Darthmod (I forgot to turn on a module for it to work the entire time ), I was playing vanilla. Vanilla was prone to curropt saves.... Guess what happened to my save? So yeah, redo, but now with Darthmod. Bigger armies, tougher AI, more turns, better upgrades, etc!
Again, we are going Prussia, conquering forty provinces (at least) and just being badasses in general. To change it up, we're also gonna build a navy to help deal with pirating and do a bit ourselves. In the interest of time (and skipping past content), I'm gonna be speed running this first turn a bit.
Diplomacy - I decide to ally with Britain, use her wealth for trading and just generally try to get on her side. There is no way my fleet will be able to do anything without her at least not interfering. With her help? We'll raid the high sea and become stinking rich! Oh note, thanks to DarthMod, the thirteen colonies are considered separate of the Empire to reflect their autonomy before they broke ties in the revolution.
Skipping ahead significantly, we have a couple of technological achievements, short war with Hannover that comes to nothing and we move our first army to Denmark to take this vital region and be both in a position to take over the Northern seas and challenge Sweden for their lucrative lands.
The battle for Denmark -
Its cold, wet and raining heavily. Otherwise we can see the changes Darthmod has made. Namely, now all artillery is mobile, the units are bigger and are now period accurate for each country.
Enemy artillery is dug in the town to take advantage of their firing arcs, their infantry have take a lone field to the side of the town and their cavalry charge to take advantage of one of my out of place infantry.
Thanks to my numbers and superior infantry this battle is easy. I take a few units to storm their artillery and cut them down with bayonets. Their job done, they then smash into the enemy's left flank to disturb their firing line. My main group of infantry move up to engage in a musket duel. After they take enough fire to break, I charge with all my infantry and cavalry. Easy win.
Skipping ahead, we get more tech, secure our hold of Denmark, fight off a ship with our growing navy and march our army into Sweden to take their valuable lands.
Storming our first Swedish fort - Darthmod makes storming forts much harder due to beefing up their defense and making the homeguard (units that only appear when a town is sieged) a lot tougher. We can see this here by how effectively they now man their cannons and how thick their forces are.
We use our artillery to both kill the men on the top of the wall and make them commit units (uselessly) to the breaches we punch in the wall. We also manage to trap a significant portion of their forces on a lone section of wall.
We use our infantry to come up two different sides of the fort and engage the scattered wall forces with bayonets.
With the walls won, we then use the high ground to fire down at the defenders. Battle is won soon after when we move down to the courtyard and shoot the survivors to pieces.
Soon after we engage another Swedish army after we secure our new province and leave a garrison. Another easy battles as we quickly blow away their artillery, break their line with superior fire and then ride them down with cavalry.
The survivors are hunted down and a major faction is destroyed.
Second Swedish Province fall to Prussia - With Sweden already reeling and bleeding money, we move to take another province.
Naval Warfare: Skipping ahead, with Poland and Austria engaging in war (with me building up more armies to take advantage of their weakness soon ), we engage the last of Denmark's navy. My aim is to capture their ship and add it to my navy.
Army update - A newly forged army waits at my capital and my army in Sweden is recalled for a push into Austria.
Destroy the Swedish Navy - Their navy was being a thorn in my side as they raided my ports, but now I've got them in a friendly port with my navy in position and a unit of infatry to flush them out into a fight. Time to sink what I don't want and add more ships to my fleet.
Summary - In this hyper quick round, we have massively increased our lands, built two armies (one already pretty elite), a sizable navy and are in a ready position to take advantage of Poland and Austria. Not bad ^^. Also, already got more content to share, but I might eventually decide to switch to video. I dunno.
