Here you can discuss the series in general, choices you made, favorite companions, romances, theories about stuff like Sandal or Morrigan (or Flemeth), are you an Andrastian, pro-templar or pro-mage, what race and class you played as, etc. But mostly as you may have cleverly deduced from the title, it's for talking about the upcoming third game due in fall 2014 (so in pretty much 1 year give or take). And also, most importantly since this is why I decided to even make the thread, not only did they put race choice back in, they recently announced that in DA:I..you can play as....a Qunari/Kossith !!!! This is so fucking awesome !!!! I had 1st planned to play as a human mage, then they announced the return of races so I decided elf mage (or maybe dual dagger rogue like Mielikki in DA:O ) but now..now I'm going as female qunari/kossith warrior, dunno yet if dual wield or bfs (maybe both depending on how specializations work). Why not mage you might ask, that could make interactions even more interesting no ? Yes it could, but I want that 1st character to be a big badass juggernaut. Plus it's freaking dragon age, I'm gonna play through it many many times anyways, I can do that later. I'm probably gonna do "simultaneous" 1st playthroughs though, warrior qunari/kossith and mage human or elf. Cause I really wanna be a 7 feet tall grey skinned berserker gal but I also really wanna be a mage within a tempar-mage world war setting because come on ! Involves you and makes it so much cooler ^^
So ya, talk about it bitches !!

Some 'Witch-Smacking', More Consequences for one's actions in general, more ramifications and less feeling like you'd be some kind of Terrorist, for starters?
Also, more Darkspawn variations?
Need more ideas, and as for Morrigan, here's hoping she will be worthy for any plans involving her I'd have in mind.

-> There'll most likely be an occasion or at least an option to smack a witch at some point and obviously you can make your Inquisitor a female mage, decide that she's a witch and smack everyone -> there'll be more choices since not only is the game much bigger, the PC is the leader of the inquisition so you have big decisions to male as a faction leader, kinda like the Warden was the Arl/essa of Amaranthine in Awakening. -> They said there'll be more variations in interactions due to your race and certain specialization. If you're an elf you won't just get a couple unique lines here and there, like maybe instead of people not mentioning you're an elf just cause you're the "hero" they'll react to you being and elf but they won't treat you like shit as they would a normal elf because you're the Inquisitor, you lead the Seekers and take orders directly from the Empress of Orlais (or the Divine, or both). And if you're a Blood Mage it won't just give you special spells, people who see you fight will notice you use blood magic and will call you all on it, your companions will see you differently for using it, etc. So unless they invent a new species there can't really be new darkspawn either. Unless the Veil being torn affects them so, which it probably will. Abominations will also be more powerful because of that and there might even be demons in spiritual form roaming around. And of course if there's some fantasy animal species in exotic regions they would be mutated by the taint. -> Why did you feel like a terrorist ? If it's about what Anders does at the end of DA2, firstly that's not your doing and secondly it's not terrorism. Because terrorism means using fear to force your ideas and beliefs on another culture or society. Anders didn't [ SPOILERS ] blow up the Kirkwall chantry to terrorize people, he did it as an attack on the organization itself, he didn't go all "fear mages mortals, we are your masters naow, bow to us or die ! mwahahaha!!", his message was more like "enough of your oppression templars, we're not evil, we're not weapons you can just use like a sword, we're people and you don't have the right to cage us like freaks just because your religion says so, we're persons who deserve freedom like all others and we're sick of your crap so I declare war on you". -> darkspawn are members of other races that have been corrupted by the taint. The shriekers are elves, gemlocks are dwarves, hurlocks are humans, ogres are qunari/kossith, broodmothers are mutated females of any races and archdemons are some sort of very powerful dragons. And there seems to be some who are still basically their own person but are darkspawn too, like the old warden and the ancient tevinter archon Hawke meets in the Legacy DLC.

= Varric appears to be less ginger now. I'll likely create a useful Hawke-class again (tank/healer) and then just play as Varric. But if they have really cool gear and a more appealing story, I'll probably get more into it with a human rogue and a lot of:

to avoid drastic derailment though -- you can PM me about any of these imagined slights. I'm getting the vibe that intent and impact aren't matching up so well
OT - Given the black powder quest and reference to cannons in 2, I'd like if some primitive firearms were added. I don't mean like a "Fantasy-verse Mass Effect" but maybe a flintlock to use one shot on with a before a cooldown, -mostly- for cosmetic purposes than anything else.

What I'd like to know is why Cassandra attacked the Warden Keep and how she can be in the Inquisitor's party after the Commander of the Grey kill her for doing it.
