Zaphia
Zaphia had entered Lebrith early in the morning, after a successful hunt. She had chased the Great White Wolf for eight leagues, it had been a good hunt. The beast had managed to get in a few good hits; She had a bloody shoulder and a twisted arm on her left side. But she had bested the beast in the end with a blade to its temple, and so she carried the giant carcass on her horse's back while she had walked beside. She'd pitched herself in the marketplace, at her friend Kelaith's place. She had been a leatherworker and tanner in the city for a number of years, one of the only Elves to live here. Honestly Zaphia had no idea how she did it, putting up with all these greedy self centred humans, but that was her business. She gave her friend the carcasses and commissioned a hide cloak from it. The sun was almost at its apex when she heard a commotion further towards the centre of the market. From the shouts and screams it sounded like humans were fighting each other, something else they seemed to love doing.
As people flocked towards the centre of the market, Zaphia got up from where she was sat and walked into the shop and saw Kelaith had stripped the fur coat from the great wolf and was working on it, it would make a fine great cloak.
"does this happen often?" Zaphia asked her friend.
"Oh yes," Kelaith replied, "there's constant commotions in this place, but it's something you get used to in human cities."
Zaphia sneered, "How can you stand such noise?"
Kelaith laughed, "Oh don't say that sister, they pay good coin if you let them."
"Only because our Elven techniques are far superior. It's no wonder you have so many orders," Zaphia paused a moment before bowing, "Thank you again for taking care of this cloak for me."
"Oh that's alright," Kelaith chuckled, "It's not often I see another Elf, let alone an old friend."
"I hope I'm not holding up your other orders," Zaphia said walking around the shop, studying the expert craftsmanship in her many pieces of leather armour.
"Ah actually, I finished one just before you came in," Kelaith pointed to an exquisite pair of fine leather boots sat on a work bench on the far side of the room, "Would you be able to do me a favour and deliver those for me?"
Zaphia walked over the the boots and picked one up, inspecting it, "I suppose, I don't have much else to do right now."
"Oh that's wonderful," Kelaith clapped her hands with a smile as she got up, "It was a special order for the princess, new riding boots, just take them over to the castle and tell the guards outside I sent you."
Zaphia shook her head with a hearty laugh, "Very well sister, I'll do this menial task for you." There would be many arrogant humans there, who would no likely stare and accost her, but she did love her Elven sister. So she places the boots into a small wooden crate and set out towards the castle.

The boy sat quietly in the cage as the big woman pulled it along. Soon they passed through big gates with armed men staring at him as they passed. A sound piqued his interest. 'River'? He thought. 'Running water'? He looked around for the source & say a spring shooting water out into a stone bowl. 'Water'! He thought excitingly. Silently but with some effort he slipped out of his cage & attempted to drink from the fountain only to collapse halfway there. Not giving up he slowly crawls toward the running water, desperate to quench his thirst.

'8 paces, 9 paces, 10 paces...' She counted the pattern of the man's footsteps, memorizing how his feet touched the ground. She silently rose as if possessed, following the man called Raven. The air in the tavern began to chill as she made her way to the exit. Her breath was quite visible as she passed a few of the patrons, including the man with the large polearm. With very little effort she muttered "Rettahs." before exiting the tavern. Her cup which stood still on her table cracked and then shattered into several tiny pieces, some shooting across the tavern randomly.
She began to follow 'Raven' closely, never taking her eyes off the man, but certainly keeping her distance. She was on to something for once. Finally a break in her long search for either a cure or her missing siblings. This man seemed as if he had connections to both nobility and even the 'underground' societies. She couldn't be sure if her assumptions were correct but she did know one thing: He was searching for the cart she previously saw in the center of the market. All she had to do was not get spotted and she'd get maybe even a speck of knowledge. She could stop wandering from city to city, hoping to find something she could actually grasp with her hands. She quickly pulls out a scarf as she begins to notice her breath is attracting attention, finally covering her mouth.
This had the makings of a successful day.

Galen
The streets of Lebrith were crowded. From a distance the bustling masses seemed like an impenetrable mass of shifting bodies. Galen navigated the crowd fluidly. They may as well have been ghost, Galen hardly noticing them as he headed to the spot where one of his contracts was hideing.
"Rat!" He called out, his voice nearly rattling a ramshackle hovel that was cobbled together between two buildings. "Rat get out here!" There was a short silence before a rustling noise sounded inside. A face appeared from the darkness, it was covered in dirt and muck so thick Rat's skin color couldn't be identified. His eyes squinted tightly against the sunlight.
"Raven!" He squawked, looking around to see if anyone was watching, "what are you doing here? You know we don't wo-"
"I know." Galen said brashly, cutting him off, "but I need information. You have eyes and ears all over this city, I need to know where Graff is before he has the chance to escape."
"I see," Rat said with a small snicker, "yes he did. My little mice spied him and a squad of men heading towards the keep but he was a-" Rat paused, sniffing the air. "There are eyes in the walls. The Rat must always remain unseen."
Galen watched as Rat retreated into his hovel. He could feel an unusual chill to the air but brushed it off. Without a moment's delay he bolted towards his targets last known location.

Zaphia
Zaphia made her way quickly through the crowded, cluttered city streets. It wasn't hard to find the castle, the large, majestic looking building towered above everything else, its spires and ramparts almost daring enemies to try their luck. As she approached a gatehouse she saw an old woman, clad in armour and weapons pulling a cart with a cage ontop, inside lay a single prisoner. No doubt the one from the loud commotion earlier.
She explained to the pair of guards stationed at the gatehouse what her purpose there was, and after a quick chat to their commander, they waved her through. She was instructed to go to through the courtyard and keep to the left. She was to take the second door which would lead upstairs to an ancillary chamber where there Princess servants and ladies in waiting were housed. She was to deliver the package to a woman named Margot.
'Not a big deal,' she thought as she walked into the courtyard, however as she entered and took the path leading left she noticed a man on the ground crawling toward the fountain that took centre stage. about 10 meters away sat the cart, cage now empty. But she couldn't immediately see where the old woman was that had pulled the cart in. She didn't stop however.

Ben
He heard the shattering of ice, and saw there were some fragments of ice that were scattered across the floor. He grimaced at that, wasn't anywhere near the time of year ice would be forming so that had to mean one thing...Magic. There was a mage in the city, he wasn't too particularly fond of magic and it's practitioners. Too many unknowns for his liking...well it wasn't his problem to deal with, unless someone pays him that is so with that dismissal he called for one of the barmaids to bring him a mug of ale. Now was the time for him to relax and have a drink.

She had to be careful, as she knew a child could make their way through these crowds with better ease than her adult self. This Raven was quick on his feet and knew how to move, but she could remember her adventures through Lebrith and knew how it could abruptly shift its corners without warning. She wasn't a master however as she did lose track of her man for a few seconds here and there. She almost came to an immediate stop as she saw her target abruptly stop in the near an alleyway. He appeared as if he was talking to someone, but she couldn't make out a face and she didn't dare reveal her presence.
Then out of nowhere, her target began to bolt as if in a mad dash to be the first to strike a rabid beast. She cursed under her breath, she knew her magic usage was highly advanced but every single Ice spell she used drew more attention to her. She couldn't use basic magic in the crowd for fear of nearing her target too quickly. She decided to bolt after him as well and let the Gods decide whether this man finally noticed her or not. Her hands were straight as arrows as she prepared to use magic should the man decide to engage her in a fight, though from what little she saw of this man it could be assumed that he wouldn't act as such. It was a precaution anyway.
"I'm going to find you a cure Father... one way or another." She thought to herself.

Galen
As he neared his destinations the crowd began to thin. Commoners became fewer and nobles more prominent the closer he got to the keep. He also noted an increased guard presence....far more than usual. 'What the hell is going on.' That question was answered as he turned a final corner. A pile of bodies were being loaded up onto a cart by the corpse collector as guards questioned witnesses. Galen moved closer as the final body was placed onto the cart.... A face Galen recognized.
"Graff," he hissed under his breath, his fists clenched in anger, "whoever did this ..... I needed him alive..... I needed -"
He stopped dead mid sentence, he could feel it. A small tingle at the base of his skull. Someone was close....to close. His had wrapped tightly around the hilt of his steel sword though he left it shiethed for now. Ravager, the great sword s strapped to his back, would be to slow in a crowd like this. He turned slowly, studying the people around him for anyone out of place. There was a young commoner man walking arm and arm with a noble woman, a small child picking a guards pocket while another distracted him with a fake injury, and......her. His eyes narrowed on the briefest glimpse of what appeared to be a woman as she ducked out of his view.

He ran so fast. She hadn't ran like this since her days in the Manor with her brothers. She had to keep following him though. She hadn't noticed it until they got closer and closer... she had remembered this area. In fact, she knew the exact path to take to get to the best leatherworker in the market. She could scale one of the buildings and get a beautiful view of the city. When her 'Raven' stopped, she finally noticed the increase in guards, the dead bodies that were being laid atop one another.
"I've got to be careful, if the guards recognize me - " She began speaking to herself until she noticed herb target whip around. He finally caught on to her.
Without a moment of hesitation allow she dipped behind a building, only to come around the other side with a small grouping of nobles. However she didn't notice that her quick heel turn unveiled her face, lowering her hood and revealing her long platinum blonde hair and violet eyes to the entirety of the market.
When she did notice, it was too late for her to recover. The first guard she laid eyes on had been staring at her for far too long.

The boy took deep slow drinks of the fountain before him. It tasted off & he could tell its been re-used from someplace he didn't want to dwell on but it couldn't have felt better. He could feel his strength returning, food could wait but he needed water. So he stayed by the fountain slowly drinking his fill.

Wassa
The old warrior parked the cart along a wall near a stable before walking up stairs to the battlements. Upon reaching the top of the walls she signaled a commander and pointed to the feral boy at the fountain.
"See that he stays in the courtyard and send someone to tell Prince Garrett his pit beast is delivered"

"War Advisor Wassa". Said a man approaching from the gates. He was tall, well built, with a disarming charm & a well deserved level of confidence. It was the Crown prince Garrett. "Im surprised to see you here with the cargo". He noted the open cage & underfed boy slurping loudly at the courtyard fountain. "However...why is there a cage, why are you here & not the Warband i paid to transport & why is that boy slurping up fountain water"?

Wassa
"I came across the warband on my way back from inspecting the outer defenses, their leader was beating your order through the cage, I stopped him and took charge of the cart, he took offense and sicced his men on me so I killed them. The feral boy killed him. The bodies are on the cart"
They walked down from the battlements as they talked.
"He should be fed after he's done quenching his thirst, it seems the previous handlers didn't have a mind for his condition"

Prince Garrett huffed in annoyance. "I shouldn't be surprised, the war band i hired was known for acting like brutes". "Thank you for stepping in, now i don't have to pay anything". He chuckled to himself. "I'll have to boy fed & properly tended to". Children of the abyss are rare & this one, if i am correct, even more so". He passed his orders along to the guards. They managed to convince the boy to follow them without issue & collected his things. "So this boy attacked you"? He turned to Wassa. "Half dead of thirst, starved & beaten he still attempted to kill you"? He smiled. "This day can't get any better, if you don't mind i have something to request of you". "I'd like you to be in charge of the boy, to be frank I'm not sure there's anyone else in the castle that could handle him without dying".

Galen
A heart beat had passed before Galen gave chase to the woman whom had been tailing him. 'How long?' He wondered, his mind going back to Rat and his reaction. Whoever this was she had been following him for a reason and he was determined to find out why, shoving nobles and gardsman alike aside as he cut through the crowd. A group of guards who had been questioning witnesses began following in pursuit, his swift exit ensiting their suspicion. Galen payed them no heed, his mind focused on a singular goal. It didn't take long for him to round the corner to find whom he sought. A woman stood in the open, her hair like a silver war banner dancing in the wind as the crowds backed swiftly away. On the opposite side of her a guard began shouting at her while others began to encircle the area. Galen decided in that moment two things. One, she must have had some connection to Graff and possibly the information he sought, and two, blood was about to spill. He needed this girl alive and would cleave through anyone who got in his way. With a silent grimace he drew Ravager and made his way to her side as his own pursuers arrived.
