seriously though, 2018 has two big hero team movies...DC's lineup that year...Flash and Aquaman...Flash and Aquaman against in addition to Captain Marvel, the first part of Infinity War and the Inhumans? Who the fuck is going to give a damn about those solo DC heroes...one of whom will have no connection to the incredibly badass show based on his character and be a reboot/or completely different incarnation in a completely different reality....and the other they have to destroy decades of bad rep for..vs (based on the spelling) a badass super powered military woman, the start of the biggest Avengers saga to date, and the introduction of one of Marvel's biggest teams. That year is going to kick DC in the nuts financially.

Also...just going to say it...DC won't be able to beat Marvel's bringing the big lovable teleporting space Mastiff Lockjaw with the Inhumans. Lovable space doggy beats all!

I think DC have seen Marvel's domination of the big screen and that's why they keep rolling out small screen projects as well as animated features. That seems to be their area.

true but they did announce movies all the way to 2020 (with Cyborg and Green Lantern being the movies for 2020) but I don't see them surviving 2018 to get that far.

Well, that doesn't mean they can't release DC movies. DC fans will see them, they just might not get the wider audiences that Marvel pull.

If they aren't successful they won't

Well, time will tell on that score. I'm not expecting anything big from them personally.

I don't expect them to beat Marvel either, especially in the Flash and Aquaman vs Avengers Inhumans and Captain Marvel front.

Well Inhumans, like Galaxies is a lesser known series.

not quite as lesser known though, most people know BlackBolt if nothing else. Plus they've connected with the FF in the past which got them more exposure.

Marvel's like Doc Ock's reactor sunball thing in the Spider man 2 movie. Its MCU is becoming self sustaining and will eventually grow so much it explodes in a nova of awesome and consume the superhero movie genre until it's resurrected in a few decades.

Read recently that Shaileene Woodley or whatever her name is (she's been in The Fault in Our Stars, and I think she led in Divergent) wants to be Captain Marvel.
Iiiiii'm not the biggest fan of that proposition.
