Now I know this game has been out for months however not too long ago they released the Insurgency DLC and I have to say its pretty good. They added three new weapons two classics and one new one. A small SMG to replace your pistol, the StA-14 Battle Rifle from Killzone 2 and 3 and the famous M82 Assault Rifle from the last three consul titles. Its a blast using the good old M82 again. Also they added in a new class called the insurgent now at first you would think the insurgent is useless since he starts off with a pistol only however he can pick up any rifle on the battlefield and use it and more importantly and what gives the insurgent some impact in matches is their abilities. One ability is to steal the abilities from the other classes for example if you see a wounded enemy sniper on the ground you can steal one or two of the sniper's abilities. Another example is you found an enemy sniper wounded on the ground we can just take his cloaking abilities and then move over to a lets say an enemy wounded Engineer and steal his ability to use a reveal drone. You can mix and match the abilities any way you want and use any weapon you can pick up. Though there is a downside while you will be able to carry over the weapons and abilities after each death and even game you have a every limited amount of ammo and abilities use. From the picked up weapon sooner or later you will run out of ammo. Meaning it doesn't give you full amount like it does with other classes. When you die and only have 5 rounds leave you have 5 rounds left when you respawn and have to pick up a new weapon from the ground. For abilities you get three uses total from each one before you have to steal another one. It could be another ability or the same one as long as you steal it from the enemy you can use it.
Next ability for the insurgent and this one is awesome. Its hacking. When one of the other classes in this game goes up an enemy sentry gun you can press Triangle and deconstruct the sentry gun or force shield or something that the enemy drops. For the insurgent however when they "deconstruct" it they are in fact hacking it and once they are done the enemy sentry gun will turn to your side and the enemy's own gun will turn on them. Same goes for force shields and so on.
Overall the Insurgent Class for Killzone Shadow Fall is awesome and adds a new layer of gameplay for the MP. So honestly the Season Pass for this game is worth it though its a shame the voice packs are not covered so I had to pay for that to have my character sound like Colonel Radec. But you get the new maps regardless if you bought the season pass or not so even if you didn't get the season pass you're getting your money's worth and you will get the coop missions that are coming up soon for free with Season Pass.
What I like about this game so far is that none of the DLC for this game costs an arm or a leg like it does with COD and BF. The 20 dollar season pass is the highest dollar amount for DLC in this game unlike COD and BF's 60 Season Passes and the Insurgency DLC for this game is 10 bucks (Well 9.99) Well worth it.
