@knuks seriously, girl is OP, her natural state is intangible, makes her a bitch to deal with if your abilities are physical/elemental/telepathic because..there's nothing there. try and punch her and you end up in the ground.

Nah, I'm assuming that once momentum is built up - it can neither be stopped or redirected. Of course there's nothing wrong with getting out of the way or waiting til he exhausts himself. I was thinking like, say DarkStar turns the ground in front of him to molten slag, will he keep going straight over it or will he sink down and plow into the soil ? It depends on the length of ground, but assuming he's fast enough he can still run right over and use the 'no-force' thing to negate the heat working on him. God knows the friction he feels would be paramount to molten slag. I'm gonna have to add superhuman reactions though. No use for that speed if he just smacks into every tree from point A to B. By the way Mugi - are you wanting your character to fight mine?

I'm just using her power for my exemple. And I didn't mean the heat per say, I was asking if the ground under him having to consistency of slag would do something

But I remember it almost killed Magneto to bring it down. Wasn't he supposedly reaching out to swing it back to Earth anyway? Despite it being lightyears away?

Lady Ruliyayeah it took a couple days but he pulled it back to Earth from lightyears away and dephased her from it. That was before Marvel Now.

He would literally be powerful enough to crack planets if that's true.

Unless he manually redirected his momentum - it'd probably just pulverize the flier's hands.

I mean if say, one grabs him from the back, follows his momentum but gradually pulls him up, would that work ? Or can you cross-leg him ?

@kenny Well he can borrow the magnetic potential of the sun and other planets so...he could potentially rip a planet apart if he wanted. But ripping the earth apart isn't conducive to him...having so much as a city of mutants. He's become more of a heroic character in recent years and mellowed the whole mutants rulezez da world shtick....which has been picked up by Scott Nuke the Planet to hell to save the Planet Summers.
