(suggested by shadowknight ) Today's combatants will be tested not only on their combat prowess but their leadership, Sgt Avery Johnson of the Halo universe will lead a squad of 5 UNSC Marines with all six armed with an MA5D Individual Combat Weapon Systems M6 Pistols 3 M9 HE-DP Fragmentation grenades 3 Napalm Grenades and combat knife. Admiral David Anderson of the Mass Effect universe will be leading a squad of 5 N7 Marines with all six armed with the N7 Valkyrie Assault rifle, N7 Eagle pistol, 3 High-Explosive mark-X Grenades, 3 Incendiary Mark-X grenades, and of course Omnitools with Omnitool blades. Battle location:Evacuated new york: Metlife building.
A Pelican will drop off Johnson and his team at the top of the building, Anderson and his team will enter the front door. Both teams need to move towards each other. Okay, you've got the set up, you know the characters, let the debating begin.

How about you start by compairing the Weapons and Defensive capabilities as well as the soldiers under their command before you move on to the Two leaders.

@shadow I almost said that in the OP I almost went "We will discuss their weapons, tactics and various X-Factors to discover Who Is Deadliest" but decided against it lol.

Well there you go. Start with comparing the weapons of each side, then the Defenses(armor/shielding), then the training of the soldiers under the command of their respective leaders.
Move on to the leaders themselves. Since they are going to have the same equipment as their troops, move on to the skills and experience of each respective leader, as well as anything else about them you can think of.

N7 training Initially, candidates train for more than 20 hours per day, leading small combat teams through hostile terrain with little sleep or food. Trainees who do well are awarded an internal designation of N1 and are invited to return. Subsequent courses - N2 through N6 - are often held off-planet and include instruction in zero-G combat, military free-fall (parachuting), jetpack flight, combat diving, combat instruction, linguistics, and frontline trauma care for human and alien biology.Anderson For all the mayhem and random confusion of battle, the lieutenant had been trained to approach firefights like a game of chess. It was all about tactics and strategy, protecting and defending your pieces as you maneuvered them one by one to develop a stronger overall position. Working as a single unit, the Alliance squad was pushing its advantage one soldier at a time, slowly maneuvering themselves to where they could flank the enemy, drive them from their cover, and catch them in the crossfire. The mercs could feel it happening, too. They were pinned down by the coordinated efforts of Anderson and his crew, trapped, virtually helpless. One example of hostile terrain the quote speaks of is given by Anderson. He talks about an exercise where heand a few other trainees were left on an asteroid with little ration and basically told survive. Iirc it was a team building thing becasue I think he goes on to how they to pool resources and survive together. Current N7s masseffectbeta.herniweb.cz/files/2012/07/Mass-Effect-3-Earth-N7-classes-DLC.jpgTwo of which are ninjas, one can almost teleport via biotic speed the other has cloaking. One with cloaking can seems to have enhanced speed. Both carry Monomolecular blades. One is trained to operate in heavy armor, complete with shoulder rocket turret and grenade launching omnitool. Another is trained to turn their omnitool/blade into a riot shield that can be modded. Shoo Then theres the one that can turn grenades into homing grenades and create an ammo supply unit. And finally the biotic that can basically flash step/teleport.

The UNSC squads bullets aren't going to be bouncing off N7 armor. Only way I see them killing anyone on the ME team would be with the grenades. They could set them up to explode when someone opens a door. The best thing Johnson could do to keep his squad alive is by avoiding a direct confrontation.

If I can find the clip, alliance soldiers can create flying drone with their omni-tools and use them for support or recon. And commander Anderson uses Incendiary ammo mod.
N7 seem more like an ODST level threat or a bit higher. ODST had shields and full body armor right? Or bring it down to regular alliance marines.

What if we change the Halo side to an ODST Squad....would that make it more fair

Not at all. N7 is above even ODSTs and closer to Spartan level. Their weapons are without a doubt way better than anything the UNSC use, same goes for armor. I say it'd take a team of S-IVs (with special gear) to take on the N7 team to be fair. LowkNo ODSTs do not have energy shields, just full body armor. The only ODSTs with shields was Bucks squad in Halo 3:ODST and that was a special occasion since the shields were being emitted by a Covenant engineer.

I'd best describe Johnson as a sniper. He was such during Operation TREBUCHET before the Covenant arrived, and was throughout.
