Alyssa Constantine. Or 'Lyssa for short. Only child. Her father was a mechanic, and turns out she was a prodigy with machines. Could fix pretty much anything, even from a young age. Could create things with ease too, working with machines came naturally to 'Lyssa, almost like they were apart of her, and extension of her will.
She and her father are attacked late one night, her father is killed. She vows revenge. She creates a weapon of some description from a destroyed vehicle and other wreckage strewn about during the attack. Recruiters or whatever, who end up saving her are impressed with her quick thinking and technical abilities.

Cause that's Ancients and Abyssals, so bad, bad news. They'd actually be able to "chew on this". Though maybe not literally cause those huge ass warship guns use 5 feet something long shells but they'd get up from it.

Hmmm, good point. I was thinking she's pretty young, 18-20 when she's picked up. So depending on how old they are in the story she could have gained plenty of experience. Say, because of her genius level IQ and ease of tech/engi use she picks up skills extremely fast. Her sleek and agile frame makes her extremely stealthy, her modest bust and beautiful face makes her the perfect femme fatale.

How's this sound :
She became a merc like your excerpt says but the merc company recruited reinforcements later.
Or
She was recruited by her government to become a spy, which would possibly give her slightly looser morals than Vokun but still not much of an anti-heroine. And then recruited to Ragnarok Company, which she accepts because...they tell her what killed her dad wasn't human and that they're hunting those. And also it pays better.

Vokun was serving in what could have been remembered as WWIII, He received the name Vokun from his Lieutenant for charging into a flaming building filled with enemy combatants and his friend. He came back with scars, his friend and a sword engulfed in flame. The Unit named him Vokun, Dragon of the Third Infantry Division. Engineers reforged the sword with some silver and tungsten they found in a cave. One night the Base sirens started blaring, Vokun awoke to the screaming and howling. He grabbed his rifle and sword and left his barrack. What he saw, he couldn't comprehend. Massive wolf like men were attacking. Vokun fought as hard as he could. He and his men made a run for it. With nothing but Knives and sword. Vokun was the only survivor. His sword turned black. When the company approached him He had killed three werewolves..his sword was still alight.

I'm just trying to figure out how to fit the spying side in with the genius and mastery over machines.
But either scenario you propsed could work. I was going for the unattached to military and stuff to better work with the unscrupulous, cold merc angle.

Sounds cool and all but there's no way a human walks away form CQC with werewolves. Also, I dunno if the silver is for hurting weres or just for the shiny but if it's the former...it doesn't work in this setting.

But i never did say Vokun killed them in CQC. I just said there were dead werewolves and his sword. He could have been cutting their dead heads or Most likely (cause he knew next to nothing about them) He was using the sword to remove the heads and set the bodies on fire. I said silver cause of the myth no the magic.

So okay, yea. Recruited after her fathers death by the government. Then later meets some merc guys, who like you said, explain what it was she fought and killed her father.
They offer What she desires most. A chance at revenge!
