From which sci-fi series ? If you mean mine then yes most certainly. You can go read about it and judge for yourself actually.

Yes yours. That said, I wonder if either series could provide reasonable counterparts to The Dresden Files' Knights of the Cross or the dot hack-verse's Azure Knights as well.
Or even provide counterparts for Hellsing's Alucard(Pre-Schrodinger Alucard at least!) for that matter.

Knights of the Cross sound like my Arcadian Paladins, what can they do ? Can their swords cut stone? Do they have magical armor ? Can they use hax magic ?
Iirc, Azure Knights are people like Kite. If so yes there are battle mages who are close enough to him.
The closest to pre-schrodinger Alucard I can think of is Wraiths. Or an elder Fae in the case of post-schrodinger Alucard.
Mind you I'm talking counterparts, not matches. Cause I think I got all of those guys horribly outgunned.

As for the Knights of the Cross and the Azure Knights, wait for the KotC to be discussed first by a Butcher Side veteran before you say anything. Their Swords are definitely Supernatural actually. Although Battle Mages close enough to either Original!-Kite or Azure Kite sound intriguing to me. P.S: I feel worried now. I got a bad case of blood lust and I don't often catch that unless I used The One Helm for extended periods of time. Some help would be appreciated before I contemplate Overkill in general.

Like I said I was talking counterparts, Arcadian Paladins are the things from my fantasy verse that are the most similar to KotC, but if I was talking about anyone that could defeat them I could just go "a wyrm steps on them without noticing" or "Uzza bitchslaps them into fine reddish pink mist that dissolves in the surrounding air" or "Srtr briefly glances at them and commands their minds to shut down" or "some random dude rubs Daeva's medallion and wishes for them to not exist anymore" or "the transcendental omnipotent thing decides to wink the entire dresden verse out of existence for the lolz and the KotC are defeated as a side effect"
About post-schrodinger Alucard tho I'm not sure if even an elder Fae could actually fully get rid of him, he couldn't do jack to one of them but they probably can't destroy him in turn.
Battle mages are just mages who have warrior training basically, but if one knows the data-drain-like Time spells and knows enough about infusing to augment his physique he'd be close enough to what Azure Kite can do.

Oh. At least you clarified beforehand. I could have sworn you meant the Arcadian Paladins, but at least you specified. Yikes on Post-Schrodinger Alucard and an Elder Fae, though. You don't say. How common are the Arcadian Paladins and Battle Mages you speak of, in particular?

The Arcadian Army counts about 40 000 soldiers, the Paladins are under 1000 in number, about 6 or 8 hundred of them. There's many many thousands of Battle Mages throughout the world but only a relatively small portion of them have abilities to "mimic" Azure Kite, maybe 10 000 or so at most. But hundreds still surpass that level and the few dozen ArchMages of various races are so far above that it's not even funny.
Elder Fae are, as I've said elsewhere, kinda like daedric princes but more so. They overpower Al to a ridiculous degree, the only reason he could last against one is that he can will himself to not die no matter what is done to him and I'm not sure at all if they could overide something like that. The schrodinger power is essentially quantum probability manipulation, their reality warping doesn't run that deep. Besides they wouldn't know about quantum mechanics. Kat does later in the story but she can't manipulate them.

Its as if something has the idea to go think 'Hmmm, Azure Knights and Knights of the Cross, you say?How about we outnumber and outgun them so badly even the Tenchi Muyo-verse won't bother to raise a finger to say anything on it?' Was it the guy who's saying 'Stop Worshipping Me' that might have thought about it? So Elder Fae are pretty much Unkillable/Nigh-Unkillable insects at worst and at best are not something to dwell too deeply over, right?

Elder Fae don't need a physical body, so ya, they're pretty hard to kill since they can laugh off any physical attack. And since spiritual forms have no vitals and require special magic to be able to affect them at all, well...let's just say it's easier to get them to piss off a bigger fish than to try killing them conventionally. Unlike the daedra they're similar too tho, the reason they don't come to the mortal plane isn't because they can't, it's just because they find it boring. But if they do decide to come among mortals they're basically gods. They even have worshippers, they don't understand why their "followers" behave as they do but they mostly like the recognition. Some do not, I'll let you imagine what they do.
@lady Rumiya-> I really really like the bigger fish trope and the like. Mind you the mains aren't *that* powerful, I'm discussing the higher tiers here because that happens to be the subject of the convo ^^

Are you assuming its on purpose or its on accident? Either way I just don't know either way, take it as a shrug if you will. There's a reason why you're the Kurumu of the list, ya know! @blair Either way this is a fun conversation if I do say so myself. ^_^ Granted, not all Worlds of Badass necessarily have to apply the Bigger Fish regard either, though it helps for making a drive sometime. Either way, somebody's gonna get overkilled here from the sound of things!

It's okay, I have a few super hax characters I keep around in my verse for when I need them.

If everyone in here has Uber-Hax fighters in here, I'm gonna have to go set up mine at some point so I don't fall behind. Not sure if they'd be enough to do Jack$hit against all of Super Robot Wars though, or at least One SRW timeline. Yet if any of them can deadlock The Dresden Files on their own, I might accomplish something Good, I think.

@cross-> She's Kurumu ? I should have taken that guess then... And well, I also have some bits of Awakening the Sleeping Giant if you prefer Lady Ruliya-> Oh sorry lol. This reminds me of a passage I had written which was like "Among the stars dwell great unknown things, the Deep Ones, in farther reaches the Old Things are found, the Many Shaped are so grand as to render these other creatures beneath notice, further above them, native to the countless planes outside the cosmos where it is cold, sometimes they vainly try to ward themselves from the blackness by entering our brightly lit star filled sky but how could they hope to fit into such a restrained enclosure ? Like a dragon wishing to enter an ant's home they must stay disappointed. Disappointed and victim to Those Who Devour, which consume them as a whale consumes krill. Beyond them stand the Primordials, embodiments of aspects of fragments left over by the Chaos At The Beginning, itself but an after effect of Tiamat, Primal Chaos Incarnate. Beyond still lies Ummu'Hubur, Who Formed All Things, That Which Is Not, The Fornever, The Before Before, The Endless Zeroth, That Which Will Not Was"

Shame the list is running out of Badasses that have names, though. No worries, whenever I role-play, I'd often leave a note the faction I'd get involved with happens to have a lot of cases for Awakening The Sleeping Giant aimed at them, as well. If I ever get started on a Sci-fi case in the future, I may have to take a few nods from that, at some point. Anywho Blair, its actually kind of cool and unique that your Fantasy world is more Powerful than your Sci-Fi world, you don't often see a contrast like that every day I can tell you that.
